I removed the factory radio/CD player when a CD wasn't going all the way in and wouldn't come out. I unplugged 2 multi-pin connectors and the antenna plug. Since reinstalling the unit, the CD player and radio works, but the digital display doesn't. The buttons on the unit illuminate properly. I read somewhere about disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes then reconnecting as a way to reset the unit, so I tried this. Still not working. Any suggestions? Thanks.
What usually happens is that the little light bulbs inside the display burn out. Maybe your handling the radio just was enough to brake the filaments that would have broken anyway. Joatmon wrote a how to fix on that . viewtopic.php?f=17&t=26889" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes, those bulbs break quite often. The bulbs in my son's 06 radio were working just fine when I pulled it, but since I accidentally dropped the radio when getting it ready to install in my 03 GT, both bulbs burned out very shortly thereafter. I've been planning to replace them myself.
