In Feb. 2009 I sold my 2003 Vibe 1.8L AT PP 33,000 miles to a friend for $9,500. She just informed me that someone turned left in front of her causing damage estimated at $6,500. No personal injury. Her insurance agent says its book value is $6,000 so it will likely be totaled. I would guess she has 100,000 miles on it by now. Anyway, $3,500 loss over her 5.5 years ($53 a month) isn't too bad. Because of rebates and GM card earnings I bought that 2003 pretty cheap and my monthly use cost for the 6 years I drove it wasn't much more than that $53. But I am holding on to my 2009 for now so she'll have to look elsewhere.

Yes - sort of like learning of the demise of a former girlfriend (and I suppose like a former spouse though don't have one of those).
