Fender Bender (and busted tail light)

Post by AZViking »

Backed out of a parking space to hear a 'crunch' as the person backing out from the space across from me collided with my Vibe. As you can see, if it had been a couple of inches higher, it would have just been a broken tail light. She said she didn't hear her car 'beep' (sensors?). I found a used tail light for $75 and will probably just use a rattle can of touch up paint on the dent.

ouch....
people relying on technology too much is a bad thing.
i mean, didn't she just use the eyes that God gave her? :?
anyway.lol. I would steer clear of rattle canning the damaged area.
Go pick up some touch up paint in your color and brush it on real good to try and keep the paint from chipping further
Just my experience, it has worked better for me.
Good deal on that tail light too

I couldn't agree more !

Glad to see the damage wasn't any worse. Good luck getting it repaired quickly ;).

My mother's Mercury Mariner (08) has backup sensors...she heard them go off while backing out one day, had no idea why they were going off, and ran into the neighbor's car. She knew what they were for, but didn't look to see why they were going off. 8-)
