New Member, Long Time Lurker

Post by TheDRV »

Hi Everyone,

This board is awesome, I'm a long time fan (lurker!) So much inspiration, and support to be found on genVibe! A big thanks to all the members.

I drive a 2006 Base, 4AT, Salsa, appx 90.5k. I've been the primary driver since 2009, and it's been in my family since the car left the lot.
I'll save my mods - planned, and completed - for the Garage.

Love the Vibe: Drives like a car, hauls like a truck!

Welcome aboard, DRV!
You're right; This is an awesome group with very helpful folks.
That is one of the cleanest looking 06's I've seen! I'm guessing 92868 doesn't see much snow/salt.

Welcome to GenVibe! That's a very nice looking Vibe you've got there ;)! I'm not a fan of red (Lava) Vibes (vehicles in general for that matter), but I do love Salsa (the color and the food !

Good to see lurkers heading into genvibe. Nice looking car... especially in Salsa. My choices were Salsa, White and I ended up with no color... Silver. I waited too long, and that's all that was left! Welcome to the site!!

Thanks for the welcome reception everyone. I have admired all your rides, and received numerous amounts of beneficial information from all of you!

The only snow in Southern California is on the mountain tops, and the only salt is in the Pacific Ocean :D

Or paint em black?
Flat black paint, as well as the grill, after a white primer coat.

Hello all, I was looking at painting my stock hubcaps just like this. I was wondering if you sanded them first before primer and paint or if you just primed and painted them. Also wondering how they are holding up? is the paint chipping away? Thanks guys!

This probably isn't the best place to ask that question - because it will be overlooked. I'd search the site here for "plastidip" and/or "plasti-dip". Several people have used that and it seems to work very well, is surprisingly durable, and it can be un-done with relative ease.

I guess it is never "plasti-dip". So here you go...
