HELP: Are base and AWD Vibe Struts/assembly the same??
Can I interchange them? Specifically the front suspension.

The fronts are exactly the same. The AWD Rears (top hats) are different with 3 bolts vs. the FWD's 2 bolts.

Weird thing tho...Apparently the OEM parts by GM (according to two gm parts dealers I spoke to) are different part numbers for both AWD and reg FWD.
But, the aftermarket makers like Monroe and KYB say their front struts are interchangeable with awd/fwd.
Why the discrepancy/different part numbers thru GM but not aftermarket makers?
