Don't drop your keys between seat and console

Post by jake75 »

Twice this week I accidentally dropped my key chain between the drivers seat and the console on my '09 Vibe. There is a space there that appears to allow small objects to slip through to who knows where. Fortunately the ring attached that holds an umpteen number of those frequent buyer rewards fobs prevented it from going all the way underneath and with great effort I was able to squeeze my hand down there and retrieve the key chain. It involved moving the seat back and forth while holding onto a part of the key chain. Someone with larger hands than mine might have a problem. I may stuff a rag there to block the opening.

Hmm. My Vibe is great about not eating things. If I drop something in-between the seats and console, it always falls into the rear floorboard. I've never lost anything, just spits it out in the back.

Been there.... Found the easiest way to get at that space is to move the seat as far forward as possible and contort your hand from the back floor...

When your short on change and in the drive through line, I'd bet you could scrape up some $$$ just by looking down there :o Found almost $2.00 in juniors Vibe when we did a thorough cleaning (dealer missed this) over the winter.
