Interesting graph there! Was 50 last year when I bought my 09 Vibe GT M5. I fall directly in line with the charts. Not many young pups can afford purchasing ANY new car for that matter. Well maybe some of the Chinese or Korean stuff invading our roadways Even though I'm now officially Mid-aged I feel young driving & shifting gears in my new Vibe

Hey I'm a youngin and I got a 2005 Vibe last year. Used is the way to go. I have no problem fixing my own car.

To me, the Vibe looks like a sporty, young person's car--and, let's face it--the name gives a "younger" feel... however, I CONSTANTLY see "mature" folks driving them--I am just kind of shocked that so many older folks would fine it appealing--BUT--I'm glad! Keeps 'em young!

LOL, Lava I see that all the time as well! However, even those it's supposed to be "hip" for young folk, it's a sensible, practical car. A much more logical choice than the Subaru WRX (sedan!) or Nissan Skyline that my friend recommended.Insurance is already bad enough for an under-25 year old!

I turned 26 yesterday (April 28). My mom turned 49 back in January. We love all the room the Vibe offers and the fact that it also has such great, sporty styling. With any luck I'll still be driving mine when I'm 40!

Happy belated birthday! I share my car with my mother and she seems to like it too, especially that little compartment underneath the gear selector. She certainly put it to the best with these stone liners for her garden and the groceries!I hope to keep my Vibe for a very long time as well.

Thanks .My mom and I have our seats, steering wheels etc, all set exactly the same so we always laugh about just hopping into one of them and going. I usually drive hers more than she drives mine, but she has driven mine a few times. What's really funny is when we forget which Vibe we're in . The only differences between them are the exterior color, mine has an intake and tinted windows and hers doesn't .

I hit 27 in just over a month...and like some of you, i notice the "older" generation in this car moreso than than mine. My mom is a big fan of the car, my dad just thinks it was smart.

I'm 30, and just yesterday a friend of mine saw a red '09 GT just like mine on the road and thought it was me....until she saw an elderly guy driving it. Old people car jokes ensued, but it was all in good fun.

I'll admit I drive a car that is mostly owned/driven by the older generation! I don't care! I love it and that's really all that matters !I actually enjoy that a lot of the members/owners here are older than me. This makes for a better website and car meets in my opinion. I have grown tired of all the young kids racing, talking s*** and generally being stupid on websites and at car meets. I have always had friends that were older than me, so for me the Vibe/GenVibe is a perfect fit .

I am 57. I owned a Lexus Rx 300 that at 200,000 miles I got T-boned. I loved that car, but on research on what would be a great replacemtent to take my 4 pups around town? I decided on a 2003 Vibe that I could buy outright with the total loss on my Lexus. I still need you guys to tell me what I can do to my base to get the best possible gas mileage out of my mighty "go-cart" - I also have a 2008 Diesel 6.7 liter Dodge, quad cab, long bed, so it helps to have my fab little Vibe to drive around town in!!!!

I think that it's because Pontiac didn't market the Vibe well enough for us to know about it. To be honest I only got mine because of my dads older friend got it when his wifes brother passed away and inherited the car. I LOVE the car. But I can't even say that I remember seeing an ad or commercial for our lovely little cars.Just my $0.02

I never heard about the Pontiac Vibe either when I bought it; I just happened to run down a dealer's online inventory when I found it.On the flip side, I remember seeing a Toyota Matrix ad on TV when they were new.

Could have been a marketing problem. In my opinion the Matrix is styled for a younger crowd.

I'm 22, will be 23 next February. I have an 8 month old daughter and my fiance' (wife in 2 days) is the same age and loves the car too. It's a 2004, and I paid $5,200 for it with 112,00 on the clock. 130,000 now less than a year later.

I'm not sure how accurate this poll is now, considering that it was started over eight years ago. Think about it. Everyone who voted when the poll was started is now two categories older. Those who voted somewhere in-between are one category older. Furthermore, many of the people who voted no longer own a vibe.We should start a new poll to see what the average age truly is now.Edit: I also notice that there is both a "20 and under" category and a "16–19 category."

And in the new poll, set it up to where you use your birth year instead of current age. It could also be listed as "how much older are you than your Vibe?" So in my case 2009 - 19*8 = ................. Hmmmmmm ........................ OLD

29 hereIt is a perfect car for new grads or young professionals. It is practical, cheap to run with proven reliability and a tidy look.We are slightly against the trend for buying a Pontiac instead of getting a Toyota. At least to older generation that only know Toyota and never heard of Pontiac, i found it hard to explain to them this is actually a Toyota.
