That Vibe is looking a little rough... I'm sure you'll get her fixed up properly, though.

I'll give your challenge a shot. Might need to visit a dealer, or something, but I've seen a few of those tiny cars in my area.

im gonna wait to get it fixed up and painted up real nice after i build it. its been in 2 wrecks (neither were my fault!!) and has never seen a body shop, o well. it aint rough, it has character ;) and btw, an old school mini would be dwarfed by a vibe!!! itd be perfect to fulfill the challenge though

Glad someone finally got my challenge! That's great, Blueridge9, just the sort of place I was looking for.

There are a gazillion Smarts and Chevy Sparks around here - maybe I can park beside one on the way home.

Blueridge9 wrote:ZVibe that is a fun pic of all those cars the same color and two Vibes headed opposite ways. I can't top that.

So now I'm responding to VibeEnvy's challenge: "Take a photo of your ride in the driveway (or otherwise parked nearby, in view) of a national leader's residence. It can be a monarch, president, chancellor, dictator, whatever".

Here's my Vibe at the entrance to home and visitor center of Monticello, home of President Thomas Jefferson, in Charlottesville, Virginia. I had to park and ride a shuttle up to tour the house so no opportunity to get a photo of my Vibe in front of his house.

How about a Citroën C1 or a Toyota Aygo ... I don't know if the Citroën looks like a jelly bean, but the I think the Aygo looks like a little frog or something.

OK, here's the new challenge. Get a pic of your Vibe parked close to a tall tower - TV, radio, cell, smokestack, etc.

The Challenge: Your vehicle (or a vehicle you're in) on or near a frozen lake/river with someone hanging out the passenger side! I realize that not all of us have the luxury of having a 2ft thick frozen playground so a frozen waterway in the background will do.

Your vehicle next to something much much smaller! (Kei cars, original Mini, ect)

This one is mine (even if I can sort of cheat thanks to the fact I own both cars).
IMG_0652web.jpg

and the challange (such as it is) is your car in front of a pile of earth (in this case you can see it above the roof of the Matrix, it is from the construction happening next door).

IMG_0653web.jpg (42.84 KiB) Viewed 14579 times
I may get a better shot tomorrow if this one isnt good enough.
Edit: Looking at the challenge picture I will need to get a better one, so I'll be back :) ( though the challage will remain the same for those who have already looked).

Does it have to be dirt? Or can it be a gigantic pile of snow?

Piles of snow are too easy ( or they used to be). I think the pile needs to be dirt ( or at least dirt showing through a layer of snow for those of you where spring hasn't come close to arriving yet).

I'll give my big pile of snow a try, but it is supposed to snow again this weekend. If it doesn't fulfill, that'll be fine.

That brings back memories... I grew up in northern Maine and there was one spot in town where they'd truck all the snow from the gigantic snowblowers they cleared the streets with and dump it. Sometimes that pile would last until June.

To me your photo qualifies, and I'll bet that nobody can find larger piles of snow. I'd like to see somebody post a photo of a strange animal on the roof of their Vibe. Seeing an elephant up there might be a stretch, though.

Hey Nick. Looks like some people have been having fun on those large piles of snow. Any brave 4-wheelers climbing all over it? Maybe a dirt bike or two. That could be a lot of fun :D

Maybe. The snow is at my high school at takes up the entire row of parking spaces at the end of the lot. So there are two and a half spaces on one side. A Jeep Cherokee with a lift commonly takes up that half space, with the front end up in the pile, but that's all I've seen. For that picture I tried to get my right front wheel up the snow a little bit, and I did. Sometimes the other drivers take up so much space that I almost NEED to drive up the snow to avoid them.

I guess you can post to any previous ones, but mostly it works that someone posts a challenge, whoever meets the challenge gets to specify the next challenge. Only meeting the current unsatisfied challenge wins the prize of being able to specify the next challenge. Posting to old completed challenges doesn't count for anything, nobody's really been doing that, but nothing will stop you if you want to. ;)
