Maybe I am just weird about being in love with my car, but I figure if not here, then NOWHERE is there someone who loves their car like I do.My Vibe makes me SMILE every time I go to get in it, every time I get out, I have to look back fifty times at it... I can't wait to drive it and even on long trips, I can hardly stand to be in the passenger seat. Being at the car wash and washing and vacuuming... almost therapeutic. I think it's like a prozac to me, because even on the crappiest day, I get in my car and I have to grin, and be happy. Maybe it's partly because this is the first car that I said, I want one of these, and went and found exactly what I want, down to the color, year, and package, or maybe it's just cause it's a Vibe? So, tell me, how much do YOU love YOUR Vibe?
Mine feelings are pretty much the same as yours. I talk to her while driving, have conversations, I apologize for rough roads, and give her the loving attention she should get. Probably because this is my first car ever, and also because my entire life has led up to the moment where I can proudly say: This is my car, and I am proud of it! Seriously, I've been a car nerd since day one. The Vibe just happened to appeal to me one day, and with a year and a half of research, no matter what, my list would always come round circle to the Vibe. In fact I saw my Vibe on Craigslist several months before we bought it, and I just knew: This is my car. In those two-three months to the purchase, I saw a few other cars, but it would always lead back to THIS car. Once I got my job, we called up the guy, and it was mine! I'll never forget him: eastern European, strong accent, the car was his wife or daughters. His daughter had married and gone, so he sold it. In the garage of his town house was a red Honda Fit, post 08. We signed the title on it's spoiler. The rear tires had almost zero tread, and the windshield wipers were junk (and it was raining too...) but I had never been as happy as that moment. I took her to school, got my parking pass, and when she said 'your Pontiac' it was a reminder that the car was finally mine! This Vibe ain't going to be sold off, or junked. Parts will come and go, but the shell will live on... FOREVER.
I know what you mean. There's something fun about the hatchback design. The six speed manual transmission definitely helps things out. They're really fun cars and they're pretty easy to love!

If I'm having a bad day, I'll just hop in a go for a ride and crank the music. I especially like doing that around dusk in the summer when it's warm and I can have all the windows down and enjoying the summer air.A few parts have come and gone from my Vibe. Most have been spread thruout the GenVibe community, like a an infection..lol.

Yes, to all of this. Especially because this was (is) my first car ever, and I bought it all by myself, and I'd been waiting for a car ever since I was 16 (bought when I was 23) so I was just ready to become obsessed and baby it, especially when I saw friends who got new cars from their parents just trash them and abuse them and not care. No thanks! I baby it so much that I towel dry it by hand after every car wash, all the door jambs and every crevice, all winter long.

Absolutely love my Vibe!! I hate this time of year when I can't keep it clean, and with the amount of snow we've had this winter, it's been harder than ever...and I really dislike having a dirty car. It's so quiet and smooth at all speeds that I could just drive for hours. My wife and I did just that yesterday chasing a couple trains along Lake Champlain that had unique locomotives on it..we spent six hours chasing with another couple, so much fun!!I think I'd be lost without my Vibe. Sunday the 27th I leave for six weeks of railroad training in Atlanta for my new job as a conductor with CSX. I'm flying down and I'll be without my Vibe that whole time Hopefully it can meet new friends in the Albany area once I get back and moved in down there. JR

I like my 2009 Vibe for various reasons: good front end looks, sporty feel, utility function, hatchback access, Muli-functional, onstar service, small size, big interior room.A few things I don't like: high highway road noise and to stiff a ride.I could go on and on but I have no time now.
I love mine too. Like to look out the window at it at work from time to time.Of course, the car I used to turn around and look at after parking it was a '93 Escort wagon with aftermarket hubcaps. Loved that car too. But, I've not loved any car so much that I wouldn't move on to something else if I could swing it.Guess I can't stay faithful.

I'm obsessed, and I think most people probably think I am crazy (especially the folks at work with their Beamers, Benz, Porche's, Mazerati's & Audi's) They can't understand why I love this sub $20,000 car soo much! I can't help it, I just love having a car most people don't think twice about and making it unique and my own. I think every time I get out of the "Conspiracy" vibe I look back and smile. I am very thankful to genvibe that I am not alone in my obsession
Glad to hear I'm not alone. Mine is my first car I've owned, too. Every day when I get to work or get home, I keep looking back as I walk away. At the office, I look out the window and check on it at least once a day. About 1/3 of the time I drive, I have no music on, just listening to how the intake, engine, header, and exhaust behave depending on my input. With my mods, the powertrain is sooo silky smooth on the highway, and depending on my input it can be one of the most fuel efficient cars on the road, or a go-cart that's a bit of a blast. I'm still in love.

Boy am I glad I am not alone. I didn't really expect to be Found a little bass in my car today... I have moon & tunes, so it always sounds good, but I put in an old rap cd and I was pleasantly surprised... it made me grin like an idiot and slouch a little lower in my seat...lol.
Everyone else has pretty much covered the way I feel about my Vibe already, but I will add some of my own thoughts...I have loved every car I've owned, but the Vibe is by far the one I've loved the most. It's so roomy, so sporty looking, so fun to drive, etc. There's enough mods that I've been able to do to it that make it my own, but not enough for me to "ruin it" like I did with my Sunfires. As many others have already said, I love driving it, I love looking at it (I always look back at it as I'm walking into work, stores, etc. ), I love getting compliments on it (I've gotten quite a few surprisingly) and detailing it is definitely theraputic, as is driving it with all the windows down and the sunroof open on a nice day.My mom also loves hers just as much as I love mine. And what's awesome is we love driving each other's Vibes as well . Our Vibes will be with us for a very long time to come (hopefully) .

now you need to add a sub to yours! i've taken almost everything apart and back together on this car, learning on the way. i learned to drive with this car, and i've spent many hours in/under it. though i've almost put 5,000 miles on it. doesn't really get driven far.
Love this car! Been everywhere in it, carries most everything one way or another. Handles great in any weather. Like any lady, she turns everyones heads... and even knows how to get down and dirty now and again.....
Like alot of you, this was also the first car I REALLY wanted, and got. Although not my first car, by far it is my favorite, and converted me from a die hard VW guy. I had stayed away from any mods, but that all ended last weekend, when I bought a bunch of stuff off of Ebay. Now...If I could just find the time!
I'm a reasonable guy. But, I've just experienced some very unreasonable things.
This is the best car I've had in 20+ years. When I was a teenager and young 20-something, I owned a Camaro RS and Z28, and I loved those cars! With those days long gone I thought I would never feel that way about a car again, but I do love my Vibe! I love the looks, handling, power (2.4 with K&N CAI). I love little stuff like the radio buttons on the steering wheel (which I never had before). I do wish it had heated rearview mirrors and all leather power seats.OK, I have never "named" a car, and I don't think of it as "her" or "him," but I sure do baby it and protect it, like I did my Camaros. Once again, I always park way out in the boonies in parking lots, or in a space where it is least likely to get a door ding (none yet).Iwanted a Vibe in '03 but I bought a VW instead. When I heard Pontiac would stop production with the 2010 model, I figured to order a 2010 Vibe, but when I got back from military deployment in Sept. 2009, I found I was too late - bummer! I searched around for a '10 or '09 Vibe GT, and had just about given up on finding what I wanted, when I found this one on the internet, four hours from home. And now it's mine.

I like my Vibe a lot !It's the most reliable car I've owned and the most fun to drive too. I ordered it exactly how I wanted it from the factory. 17'' non-chromed rims, sunroof, fogs, 2,4L, dark blue. I added the GT spoiler and exhaust tip.In the summer, I can wash it once or twice a week, wax it and do the interior every month.

Just a little bump here since there are so many newbies lately.
I am not going to lie to you all, I originally bought this car strictly for good gas mileage on my 70 mile a day/4 day work commute. I wanted a small enough car for the good gas mileage but big enough so as not to feel like it was a bathtub on wheels. But I have been very satisfied with it so far and it seems to have good pickup to the thing even with the AC on.I like the room and the seats are more comfy then that Aura I also own and the gas mileage is great.Things I hateThe clutch pedal in this car is like no other I have owned or driven and almost a full month since I got the car i still am not really sure of the engagement point and stall the car at least twice a day. The most embarrassing times are at this one traffic light on a even road. I have owned many manual cars in the past No trunk release: I have been happily living without power windows/locks this month but I find the lack of trunk release without using the key tiring The adjuster on the drivers side seat belt that adjusts the belt height rattles.Other then those annoyances the car is a good car and I don't regret buying it
06pvibe has complained about the clutch having no feel to it as well. But as for trunk release, well, there's the handle above the license plate, and the glass popping button under the mirror controls. Back on topic, I love this car so much that if I ever get a girlfriend, she'll have to compete with my Vibe for my attention/affection!

Exactly how we feel about our Vibes! One of the most economical/functional vehicles ever made. Just brought back an 8' section of bookshelves we purchased from Borders Bookstore in the AWD and one of the glass DVD display cases in the 5spd. You should have seen the looks on the employee's faces when we backed up to the door to load up. Priceless! One wanted to know what kind of car it was, as she wanted to find something that could be a truck and passenger car, and have the great looks, that our Vibes have..............And I thought I was the only one strange enough to talk to my car Good to know I'm in good company in my crazyness!
