Hallo, another from Wisco :)

Post by theragu40 »

Hey all, I bought a 2009 Vibe GT with 33,200 miles on it last Thursday, and found your site over the weekend. I lurked for a few days and then decided I needed to join up.So hello!I did a lot of shopping before deciding on the Vibe as a great mix of performance, price, and practicality. I've put on over 400 miles already and I am loving it so far!I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment out of this vehicle, and I'm looking forward to being part of the community as well. If anyone has any suggestions right off the bat for me, I am all open ears. Thanks in advance!EDIT: Picture of my new baby added. Hopefully more to come. I still have to name it...my gf and I are working on that

It's a great group of GM owners and as a matter of fact, we're having a get together in Baraboo on the 17th if you're so inclined .

Love those red calipers you have on your vibe...was that a hard thing to do? I've always wanted that...

Welcome to GenVibe!Nice photo update! Yup, us oldsters get kinda grumpy when we don't see pictures. Got any pics of the car in snow yet? LOLI can joke about the weather because my mother was from Two Rivers ('Trivers' to the natives.)

I do some fishing in Trivers, actually. I can guarantee there will be some snow pictures later this year.

Nice 09 GT! I've gotten close to 40,000 miles out of mine in the past year.. I'm now just a couple hundred of miles short of 60,000!

Painting your calipers is a bit of a pain, but something that can be done in a few hours. You don't even have to remove them if you use one of the brush-on kits, you just need lots of tape and patience.

Welcome!First Mod is to debadge it if you so desire. Basically free. Little bit of dental floss to take the letters off, a bit of picking if there is any left over residue, then wipe with some Goo Gone and you're done! All clean.
