New look for my Vibe, have a look

Post by knaffie »

I had some work done on my Vibe. The driver side was repaired from my crash on New Year's Even - two new doors and then some. The passenger side was keyed last year, so it was repainted from fender to fender. And the hood / front bumper were all stone chipped, so they were repainted as well. The entire car was painted except the roof and back hatch. I had the OEM wheels and roof rack painted black too. And the window tint finishes off the look. I also threw some new tires on it for the summer, which were a HUGE improvement in ride and road noise. What do you think?BEFORE:AFTER:

Nice work! Looks new! Did a dealership shop do the body and the wheels/rack paint? It really looks good! In a nasty sort of way! Black wheels don't look good on every car, but on Moonstone...

Wow, I actually think those stock rims look *better* in black than they do in silver! Real badass.

Uh oh. My to-do list just got longer. Did they remove the bars, or paint them installed? About how much to do the rims?

Looks great! I like the matching black roof rails as well. Now all you need is to get a set of '03-'04 headlights with the black inside and tint your taillights.

I love how the stock rims are painted and the rack on the roof!! I'm planning on stealing that idea . Any tips/tricks/suggestions on doing so? Maybe paint used and how you took off the top racks?

Thanks for all the props everybody. I'm very happy with it too.To answer the questions......My neighbor does body work on the side, and he did all the work. I know the roof rack was off when he painted it. The tires were depressurized, and pushed back enough to get tape behind the wheel, then painted. The tires are working out awesome. We were actually thinking of selling the car because it was so loud on the road. I thought it was the car. Turns out it was 90% the tires.

I LOVE the roof rack and tint. They look great to me. But against the general consensis of the forum (-1,) I am not a big fan of the glossy black wheels. Sorry, but that is my opinion. To me the silver looked better on your Moonstone color. The rest is spot-on, imo.
