Vibe 2010 prices paid?

Post by purilisa »

Has anyone bought a 2010 2.4L auto vibe? What are the 2.4L selling for? Can you please share the price/s paid? I had previously intended to buy the GT but I don't want the 18inch wheels, so opted for 2.4L with 17 inch wheels. I am planning on buying 2.4 L with power+sun roof package. So far recd this quote 18058+TTR(2009-only dealer with 2009 models). How much of a discount can i expect? Also I was actually looking for 2009, but most of the dealers in the Richmond VA area are saying that they are all sold out!I am concerned about how it's going to affect parts supply if GM is backing out of NUMMI? Any feedback? Is it wise to buy a vibe after this news.?Thanks L

Go to Pontiac.comLook at at Summer closeoutThen locate this vehicleThe 2010's will probably cost you $2,000 more than a 2009.[I checked a local dealer website and the deep discounts on specific VIN's that he probably bought under a GM dealer incentrve program are all gone.]

When a car model is discontinued, parts still need to be supplied for years after. I have heard ten years after. Does not mean Toyota specific parts of course. And there will always be used body panels out there.

Assuming Pontiac is placed with the "old GM" (that is the bankrupt entity), I suspect all bets are off. The bankrupt entity probably can't be forced to supply parts. It may not have the financial werewithall to do that. Of course except for the sheet metal most of the "parts" can be "Toyota".

I bought a 2010 1.8L with auto/ac/preferred package on 7/6 for 16250 + tax/fees. I don't know if I got the lowest price possible (don't think so because carsdirect quoted me the an 09 for 16042 and has them now for below 16k, so I should have waited. Anyone else want to share what they paid for their vibe? It is very helpful.I wouldn't worry about parts since they will have to make them for 10 years, and almost all the parts are the same as the Matrix which isn't being discontinued.

In Ohio the invoice on that including ad fees etc. was $18,664. Rebates would come off of that - confusing as to what the current rebates are - GM has a Summer clearance on now - see http://www.pontiac.com.There sometimes are some behind the scenes dealer incentives - in Jan. a dealer here had 4 of these 1.8L Vibes advertised for invoice less $2,000 and less $1,500 in rebates -bottom line 15,164. It so happened that GM had upped my GM Card points to $3,000 if used by 1-31-09 and I also had a $250 coupon form that dealer good on any new car purchase so I netted out at $11,914 (plus tax etc. of course). Last month another dealer near here had a few of these advertised at about $14,999 after rebates. They are now gone. All these special prices were on specific VIN's so I suspect that GM unloaded these at a special incentive price to move some metal. But you got a 2010 - not a 2009, all the 2010's have the higher destination fee. I believe the msrp is $19,715. So you did very well. That 2010 vs. 2009 will be worth an extra $1,500 down the road.

The "price" I paid for my '09 was $18,900. However it's pretty well equipped, preferred package with the power options, sun & sound, 2.4L engine & roof rack with a manual transmission. Only things I didn't get were the GT package (couldn't see the point) and auto tranny. The sticker was just shy of 22K, but I paid 18,900, then off of that came $2,000 owner loyalty and an additional $500 discount, so basically I got mine for about $16,400.

16,400/21,900 = 0.749, thus 25% off msrp; Not bad at all.

I traded in an older vibe too. I figure most people want the bottom line so they can determine the payment. I remember I got a "red tag" sale price and they threw in another $500 off by the time it was done.
