Pics with the new rims and rubber

Post by gottabstick »

Thanks to Vforvibe, I finally got my set of konig troubles together. They're sitting on a new set of yokohama YK520's now and the ride is phenomenal. The guy at discount tire said "watch out because if you're used to 16's these 18's will feel awful rough". He couldn't be more wrong. Maybe the 16's were just too old or mis-aligned or a combination of the two . I really like the look now and that's it- no more money going into the car! (So my wife says). I cant help thinking drop, tint , xenon's when I look at it though. Must've been bit by the modding bug somewhere along the way Just got to get into the wheels and somehow clean up the rust around the calipers etc and then I'll be very happy. Not sure if I'll be selling the stock alloys yet. I dont really have the room for them right now, though they would be nice to have incase of emergency.

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree 100% on the lowering idea. I think I may have some bigger fish to fry that will definately eat up any extra cash I have lying around. The dreaded grinding from the clutch sound made an appearance on the interstate today. I think it may be the flywheel or a bearing. I'll have to take it in somewhere on monday. Wish me luck- just got a new clutch installed 20k miles ago.

Oh geez, now he's talkin brakes? Slow down! That's like $1500 for big brakes if you can find them anymore! Just be thankful you have disks in the rear and not drums like me

Yeah it is a little more rough .. well not that bad. My road has lots of corners and tones of frost heaves right now, that can get a little tiresome ....None the less a nice ride.PS.I did my drums and calipers this weekend. Friday did the drums and on Sunday I did the calipers. Went decently well.
