Hi Everyone - New Member

Post by D.I.S.C.O »

Just bought a new Vibe. First new car ever. I came out of the dealership with a headache and exhausted. Wasn't too excited about the new car either. Now, after 4 days I am getting more excited while waiting for delivery.I am plotting mods for the car. It's a 2.4 manaul with the power package. I would like to upgrade the OEM stereo, wheels and may be the sway bars. Any thoughts? TIA.

Welcome and congrats! Yeah, the finance sharks will do that to you. Just enjoy the ride, knowing that you made a wise decision and never have to see those guys again for a very long time

Just a little revenge tactic I like to do is, start to remove the dealership sticker off the back of the car, Sometimes they have stopped me and taken the car to the detail shop to remove it, If I get it all the way off, I wad it up and hand it to the salesman and ask if he can throw it away for me. I Do not leave the dealership with thier name on my car. You will enjoy the car much more than the experience buying. Wheels will be no problem, I don't know about the availability of aftermarket stereo equipment for the 09's Crutchfield.com would probably have the answers for that.As for suspension components. You didn't say wether you got a Base or GT, they have different rear suspension, The base has a torsion beam and the GT an independent Double wishbone setup. The aftermarket has never been quick to supply performance parts for the Matrix/Vibe. Good luck and welcome

My new car was in transit when I bought it. Does anyone know how long it takes for GM to deliver the car to the dealer?

Just took possession. The break in period is going to be hard on me. I drive less then 6000 miles a year. It's going to be next year before I can punch her.

I think after market wheels would be amazing. I have yet to see any on an '09. If you did you'd have to get atleast 19" wheels to make them fit in the wheel wells since they made the front end look so meaty in the new Vibes. Either that or get 18"s and lower it
