I need to get a roof rack to carry my kayak. I've been using my truck, but it has alot of miles and I don't trust it for long trips anymore.

With the three atop, I simply drove back to our put in site on the river. However, with two we drove a long distance at interstate speeds, and I hardly notice I am transporting them.
We tried hauling an aluminum canoe on top of our Vibe with the stock roof rack crossbars. I think we would have made it if we had decent straps (had bungee cords and one of my father in-law's spare ratcheting tiedown straps) We drove about half way (a few miles) before we decided to make two trips, hauling each canoe on the roof of his Jeep Liberty.

Okay, I thought three kayaks atop one Vibe was using the rack to its potential. I loved the picture of 5 and am impressed you loaded six. Looks like you were outfitted for some serious whitewater.
