Since 2 days, I drive a Cobalt...(Vibe accident)

Post by fredfreedom »

Hi folks, 2 days ago in the morning, I was driving on a boulevard and the light turns yellow, so, I decided to stop. But the guy behing me decide to go through. So, you imagine the rest. I was hit severely. Luckyly, a police car was at the same intersection, so he see's everything.Actually, I have pain on my shoulders, my neck, my back, my arms and I have the safety belt printed in my chest muscles. I already met a doctor.I don't know if my Vibe will be totalled or not. It's frustrating because I take a good care of my Vibe and there was only 8 payments due to clear my loan with GMAC.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you are ok.I would think they would total it. It looks like the rear part of the frame is totally muffed up. They usually try to straighten it back out, but i dont see that happening.
Bye Bye Vibe.............

ouch sorry to hear about your accidentI think they are going to total it or if the try to fix it make use it's a top notch shop, because there is major frame damage, if they do a bad job straighting the rar end back out, It Will never drive right and your resell value will go out the window

(removed)... I'm glad you are ok and I hope your pain goes away soon. I would tend to belive that they will total out the Vibe with that much damage.Sucks when bad things happen to good Vibes.

Wow man, that sucks big time, BUT, you are ok, which is what really counts... cars are replacable, you aren't. You couldn't have gotten luckier in the situation though, having the cop there to SEE it happen... Get better soon, that kind of sore is terrible...

I was so satisfied with that one!My dealer told me they don't have any Vibe 2007 with automatic transmission, they only have manual. So, I'll get a Vibe 2008, and I keep the same colour outside and inside: Moonstone / Slate interior.I add some options like mags, XM radio and 7 speakers that I didn't had before. The only negative point will be my loan, instead of 0% financing, I'll get 2,4% because it's a 2008 model. BTW, that's remain a very cheap interest rate.About myself, I still have some pain, but it's slowly becoming better.

Looking at it from a passenger safety stand point it appears that your Vibe took the hit pretty well.

How r you now? still have some pain? do you know what happen to the guy who hit you? will you sue him?and, do you get your new ride? The first 2 days we're pretty heavy for pain, but now I'm okay. I have my new ride since august 3rd. It's a 2007 Vibe Special Edition that include's: XM satellite radio, 7 speakers, mags and polished exhaust tip. I also add power package and automatic transmission.I already tinted my windows and I added the Toyota Matrix rear bumper protector. It's easy to install in less than 15 minutes! For the guy who hit me, I couldn't sue him because we're in Quebec, with the SAAQ, everybody is no fault. I'm not responsible by my insurer and my insurance premium increase of 180$ because I insure a 2007 model instead of a 2005.At least, I bought a 2007, so it's financed for 5 years at 0% interest and I also have a longer warranty!I had a really great service with my insurer. I couldn't say the same with the representative of my dealer for buying my new car.I already did some mods: like a Toyota Matrix rear bumper protector! HID to come soon!

The brand of my deflector is Perfect Fit. It's my dealer that installed it. I taught they would install the GM one but they install the Perfect Fit instead. Maybe you can find some info by typing Perfect Fit on Google?
