Just for fun. If your Vibe were stolen or totalled, would you replace it with another Vibe or something else? (You will need to replace it right away)Feel free to add poll choices, but try to keep your suggestions in general categories like these here.
interesting question... should mine go KABOOM (preferable with out me in it) I'd like another Vibe with more options... and a 5-speed... or maybe a 6-speed would be better If not a Vibe maybe another small hatchback.
I would love for mine to go kaboom (or somebody buy it for $5k.) I am thinking of a new Astra, or will go for a pickup. The goats may like to ride in a p'up instead of the Vibe.
This one is my 2nd one. I really think I'd rather have a Nissan Versa, Mini Cooper S or something else next time. I really have loved my Vibe experience this time around ('06), but there are other cars out there that I like too, and the Vibe's not holding it's value like I'd prefer. I am pleased with this car (the '06) in so many ways over the '03 though!

Well I'd probably check what's out there first before making a decision, but I'm already biased so the Vibe would be the front runner for sure.

After making sure who ever stole it (if it were stolen) was dead I would definately replace it with an '03 Vibe and it would have to have the manual transmition. That's my only regret in life is that I didn't get a stick in this one. Also, as long as the insurance company gave me all teh money I've invested in aftermarket parts back to me.
yeah id wait like BC , but it depends on the drive train used. if its new I wouldnt trust it, id wait till they got the kinks out. but id stay vibe! as long as the new one got mileage like the current one.
yes, i'd get a vibe again. it would be a tough decision on which one tho, i'd love to know the engine options on the 09 or if i could find a gt. theres also the issue of tranny, i dont know how to drive a stick but want to learn but as long as i'm living at home (which will be decided next yr when i graduate and depending on where i get a job) it wouldnt be benificial since my parents dont drive stick.
Yeah I was thinking about what I MIGHT replace it with if it does go bye-bye...and I think the only car I would replace it with IF i had to replace it would be a Mini Cooper or.... Actually the Vibe seems to prevail and I can't think of anything in the same price brackets that I would ever consider replacing it with. I would for sure get another Vibe.
You didn't say if money was no object or not. SO.....IF money were no object and this a fantasy, I may go with a Mini Cooper convertible. But if this is realistically speaking, then yes, I would definitely get another Vibe--preferably a neptune this time. I am very curious to see what the '09s will look like, but I don't know if I could wait that long!
If money was not the object and I didn't need the car right this very moment, I would wait for the new 09 Trix, but that is not an option so I had to pick 09 Vibe.Of course that is only if they had the 276hp V6 AWD setup from the Rav 4 in it.
I would probably wait for the '09 Vibe. Although, I wouldn't mind getting the new camaro when it comes out, but realistically, I would probably go with the Vibe. With my luck Camaro = Speeding tickets.
i would replace it... i would want a si sedan or wrx.if i hit the lotto same day as my total/loss i would upgrade a lil to a audi wagon, those things are gorgeous.

I REALLY like this car....ALOT...I would however upon needing to replace it(which should not happen for another 200,000 miles)I would test drive another Vibe....and the Mazda5...it would come down between these 2...The vibe is perfect....if not slower than I'd like...
I'd replace it with something else... obviously lol though nothing against the Vibe. However if the 2009 came out with 230HP turbo... I'd reconsider "maybe"

I would try and lease an '07, if I had to get something immediately.I do want to wait and see just how spiffy the '09 is, my lease is up in '09 anyway.

My 2003 now has over 27,000 miles. I have not kept a car that long since 1996. Got tires replaced at 20M under warranty. Brakes are good. Was tempted to trade for an '07 as the deals looked pretty good but frankly just didn't have the time to shop. I like the Honda CRV, or maybe a Mazda 5. Am near Medicare age and just cut back my workload so maybe I will see how long this '03 will run without racking up major repairs.

As i told in this topic: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=29211 my Vibe is totalled, so I'll buy another one, and I don't have the choice to take a 2008, because I couldn't wait until 2009...

I'm keeping the Vibe until I can put my foot through the floor. But if that day ever comes,I would buy a Mazdaspeed3 or an Acura RL.Or keep the Vibe and buy a Yaris.
