2008 Matrix Unchanged

The 2008 Toyota Matrix is being advertised on the Toyota website unchanged from 2007. Does that me the vibe will carry on in 2008 unchanged as well.

I have read a few stories that the 08 Vibe will be the same but the 09 Vibe will be the new style.

I seen a couple of post on this site indicating that 2008 was the last year for this style of Vibe so I assumed this met the Matrix 2008 was changing as well. I guess one should not assume.

According to Edmunds, MSNauto and a couple of other sites, the 2008 will remain unchanged. They already have the 2008 model listed and it's the same body style/interior. Other sources (a NUMMI "insider") recently posted that they are gearing up the plant for the all new 2009 model Vibe and Corolla. Sales of the 2009 Vibe/Corolla are expected to begin in Mid '08 (maybe as early as April) and run through 2011.

I was at the dealer looing for awd vibes and noticed on new vibes you can get custom painted grills right from pontiac! the honey comb part that is, can be painted to match your car paint....interesting
