My Vibe is all paid off

Post by Mavrik »

Well I didn't think it would happen this soon but it has. My 2004 Pontiac Vibe is all paid off. But I don't really get to enjoy this as much as you'd think because its only paid off because its sold. Yup today its offical... my Vibe is sold and paid off. I'm still driving it though until my new car arrives and I'll be housing it in my garage until my folks pick it up this summer. Yeah I'm jumping ship to a Subaru but that has nothing to do with the Vibe being crappy or anything. Its just not what I want in a car anymore. Its been a great problem free car and fun to autocross. Ah well. I got some good memories.Bye bye Vibe, hello Subaru STiOh and I'll still be around to bother all you subaru haters with pics of my new ride once it arrives

well since Hope says tint and all that doesn't count as a modification... the first modification will be COBB stage 2 turbo back catted exhaust system and Access Port. But that will probably be next year. This year its staying stock.

i think damron's point is this;when someone joins the site and makes a thread saying for example, "hi i just joined the site. i am looking at getting an 03 AWD. i heard it has power issues, is it fast enough"as sure as i fart a lot, there will be a post that says, "my subie is AWD with 250/250. this summer when i get my FMIC, NAACP, YMCA, and my tuned ABCDEFG, i should be hitting 300/300 AWHP. then next month after i tweak dingleflopper and have emril kick it up a notch (BAM) i should easily be 350/350. there are guys on subiedoobiedoo.com pushing 500/500 with nearly the same setup as i am.next thing you know, this poor guy knows nothing about an AWD vibe and his thread is about car acronyms for a totally different brand.

nah man, that's not it at all. a lot of people are guilty of the same type thing. hell, i am probably guilty of bragging about my non-vibe a bit much too.the other day when someone asked for info on the malibu maxx, it turned into a domestic bashing full of crap the guy didn't care about, apparently he gave up on the thread all together.don't get me wrong, it's quite obvious that almost all subies in general are quite impressive performance wise. congratulations on getting the car you want.i don't think damron was trying to troll or be ignorant. i was just illustrating the point he was making.

His has been problem free, rock solid and no issues. i still can't believe he's on the original windshield! the only reason mine had problems were because of me.. driving into a snow bank, romping on the clutch and brakes, etc. overall, i would recommend a Vibe to ANYONE. they are (imo) one of the best vehicles out there! they are just not really meant for huge performance. and i'm not saying that they can't be, because given enough time and money, you can make anything possible (just about). but it's time for Phil to move onto what he's wanted since GT1 came out and they had the first rally wrx's on the video game. He's always wanted one and now we can make it a reality. so i am happy that he's happy... he's been giddy since we ordered the silly thing and every day it gets worse. i only hope it's tomorrow or thursday, or this week. we've both worked very hard, given up many things to make it all happen. and through it all, he's ALWAYS been supportive of my endeavors for speed, so it is only right that I support his too. I love the vibe, it's going to a good home.
