damronjr- I used to live in Del Mar, but have since moved further north. ( I work in OC)VforVIBE- So I will assume you bought the autobox? 1 of the reasons I didn't buy the GTO was the crappy manual. (viper has an aftermarket shortshift) But I loved the room and interior of that car.
you have a cool toy.. supercharged! I drive the vibe everyday. I love it.. I almost never hit lift (have a GT) but its a great car with TONS of utility. I would get rid of most of the other cars before I get rid of the vibe. The only car I won't get rid of is the one behind the closed garage door.. that's my baby..
Beautiful. Well taken care of too from what I can see ...and I see the bike hidden in the back, do you have a picture of that?SO will you enlighten us on what IS behind hte garage door? It better be like a '71 Mach 1 with a blown 427 or something wonderful like that

The GTO is an auto, but the Vette is manual. I don't think you would have been too happy with the goat, it's WAY to heavy for it's own good.

yes, I have a couple of bikes. One for the wife and one for me! Here is a pic of mine.. and the baby? She is right beside the bike... sorry, not a blown mach 1..
aha...a Triumph!! Right? Cool. obviously not the fastest but I'm sure it's the easiest and funnest drive. What kind of bikes btw? I was looking at Triumph Speed Four to get.
yes a triumph. Have had it for over a decade. Been restored, but probably needs another one. Its slow as (removed), but a hoot to drive. Lots of character. My bike is a Kawasaki Z1000. I looked at the Triumph speed triple (not the four). Its a very nice bike. Rides well. I just love the smoothness of the inline four. 127horses on a 400lb bike is loads of fun.
do you autocross that triumph? we have a few people here that do. they are impressive! and great looking garage! LOLif the vibe would be paid off by Dec, we'd have 3 cars to fit in our 3 car garage. however, Phil miscaluted that 60 mos is 5 years and not 4 years. so... it will soon be Legacy GT STI and STI in the garage. sometimes, I do have to bring my company Trailblazer to park in the garage to unthaw when it's washed.I bet the Viper is a fun car to drive!
now that the drool is off my keyboard, i can post.ummmm wow , how do you drive the vibe with a garage like that, even a GT has gotta be slow in comparison
I drive the Vibe everyday! I love it. The s2k was formerly mine, but I wanted to get rid of it. My wife wouldn't let me, so I sold her car and she drives the S2000 now. (not my idea of a great daily driver)Most of my driving is highway mileage, so I don't want to put that on the other cars, plus although the NSX would make a great daily driver, its not as utilitarian as the Vibe...
yes, it will be a sad day when we get rid of the vibe. it's so useful and great on gas! plus... it has sentimental value. i just don't want 3 car payments.
I don't auto cross the Triumph. Its still original, except for the aftermarket roll bar. Still the stock 1500 cc engine in there, still the same 4 speed + overdrive manual in there.. Its more of a weekend cruiser. It still has the original "Triumph club of Toronto" stickers on it!The Viper is a beast. Can get sideways in a hurry if you aren't careful. By far the most fun to drive. But only gets driven on weekends also.
there's a guy here that has a viper and his wife has a mini s. they just bought a wrx (or maybe just the impreza). nice guy but wow is the car beautiful! I had to drool on it when I was in his garage. LOLi have to agree with the wife on the s2000. I'd have wanted to keep it too, especially in CA.

look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
why? sure not everyone's gonna have all the cool toys, but i'm sure he worked hard for what he's got. shouldn't begrudge someone for their hard work.also, it seems to me that someone with those kinds of toys who still prefers driving their vibe every day says something about the car.
Ok so when are we having a socal meet at your house???I would love to meet up and just ride in those things!Im a lil depressed, cuz who wouldnt want that kinda life, but he prolly earned it by working his (removed) off! and i work my (removed) off too but its different lifestyles. everyones different.Hes just showing them off... HECK i would too! if i bought cars like this, and hes still repping the vibe in the garage!Soo i love the cars you have and hope you post some more pics (or vids ) of your cars.Welcome to the site and hope you can make it to a meet sometime.

Sorry, I intended it as a joke/complement. I wish anyone all the joy they seek with those vehicles.BTW - I love my 85 Chevy and never plan to sell it. I plan to give it to my son in 8-10 years when he learns to drive.
check that first picture more carefully. My plates are MI! I refuse to give them up, even tho I live in SoCal, my cars are plated in MI. I didn't know we had California meets?! Would love to join you guys for some of these.I've been blessed in my life to be able to afford nice cars. But cars are only posessions. They aren't what completes our lives. I was blessed with even better family and friends, which I enjoy much more than any car can offer.

Haha, my plates are TX, and I am the same, refuse to change! lol As for meets, they generally have more up in LA, but I was hoping to get something started down here in SD soon, but it probably won't be until after X-mas sometime since no one has even thought about a time or place yet.

Sometimes we have Lil-Red-Wagon or whatever his name is now. Most of the more active guys are MO'ers.

I know I can't talk since you drive everywhere, but I hate driving. I would drive to a Dallas meet from here before I drove to a LA meet again! I hate driving up to and in LA. That's why I generally stick to the SD meets. I guess someone is going to have to start a thread on this eventually to try to get a meet planned for SD. We're also junking up Anrosphynx' thread!

No worries guys. Let me know next time you are going to have a Vibe meet, and I will do my best to meet up with you. Thanks for the compliments. Each car has its own attributes. The s2000 is the most tossable, agile, go-kart feeling of them. The nsx is a comfy ride with good handling and great green house. The viper is just a beast. Brute force. The vibe is the most utilitarian, best gas mileage, most space and has a back seat!!!
