There have been only three unexpected repairs: 1) blower motor, 2) after replacing the calipers one had to be replaced after 40,000 miles, 3) after installing front wheel bearings one had to be replaced after 28,000.Everything else has been normal maintenance or anticipated maintenance/repairs plus three accidents. The first was with a deer (I hit her but good). That was basically all cosmetic plus the radiator. The second was driving up a curb (hard) to avoid being slammed into by an oncoming vehicle sliding out of control just before Christmas '09. Luckily that was just the alignment and tie rod on the passenger side. And the third was a deer running into me a couple weeks ago. That took out the passenger side mirror (which was already broken...my fault) and tail light assembly, and put a big dent in the rear quarter panel. The Vibe goes in on Jan. 25th to be fixed.

145,000 miles on my 2003 GT. No real problems... I'm still on my original clutch!Feels like the struts are worn out, but it's kind of expensive to replace them all, so I soldier on with the originals.

joejoev,I'm really impressed with your mileage; if you didn't have the .jpg of the odometer, I'd have bet you were messing around.Anyway, what kind of oil have you been using and what sort of mileage intervals are you changing it at? I doubt I'll ever get to your level of mileage (my '05 has 41k miles), but I'm about to commence on some 10k mile OCI's with M1EP...as such, I'm curious what you've been doing.BTW: I'm rooting for your engine to be the Vibe-version of the 2.6 million mile Volvo. Good luck!Cougar Vibe

My Vibe GT has just under 4000 miles on it and is pretty much garaged for the winter. I purchased it new in May 2009. Don't get the chance to drive it much as I work out of a service commercial van all the time and it goes home with me every day. I just have to keep an eye on the wife and 15 yr old son (soon to be driving) so they don't rack up the miles on it! March/April I'll start limited driving on it but when summer rolls around, I'll be in it a lot! For now I move it around every couple weeks to prevent flat spots on the tires and loosen it up a bit. I'd also be curious as to what type of oil was used to achieve such longevity? Conventional OR synthetic? I'll be having my FIRST oil change this spring and am not sure which way to go!

I've have 193,000 miles on on '05 Vibe. What an incredible car! I love my Vibe! The only real issue I've had is an air bag impact sensor needed replacing. I can't believe joejoev's 400,000 miles of mechanically trouble free ownership. Just exactly what I was looking for when I bought this car. 400K, here I come!

joejoev, how does the car feel at 400K? Why I'm asking is when some cars get to a certain mileage, they lose that certain tightness, as they gradually transform into a ****box. My '98 Civic with over 300,000 miles definately has that ****box feel, so much so, that I won't take it on a long trip. joejoev, when did you notice your Vibe start to feel different? I plan to keep my Vibe as my prime vehicle/long distance commuting car. I'm hoping she stays tight and reliable right up past 400K. There's no other car out there I'd rather have than my Vibe. Also knowing the motor will go 400K+ helps in making other decisions. For instance, I might be more inclined to put in a new transmission rather than a rebuilt one, as I realize that I have miles to go before I sleep.

Hard to say when it happened since it happens so gradually, but it still feels pretty good. On a scale of 1-10, ****box being 1 and 10 being new, I would call it a 6 or 7.

Instead of the 400k club, I belong to the "least number of miles since you've bought it" club.Bought new in August 2003. Six and half years later we've got a grand total of 56,194 miles; that's only about 8,600 miles/year.

Joe –Your sig taught me something new! I thought the 2004 Vibes were the last year before they changed the font/look of the gauges to the red and white. I guess the 2003 model was the only one with the all-orangish red italicized Pontiac look. From one Metro-Detroiter to another, congrats on the mileage. Can't say it enough.

Going to hit 20,000 before the end of the year, having owned the car for a year and a month (~50 miles to go). Here's to at LEAST 20,000 more next year! (I love driving and there's gonna be a road trip to Houston in there, and maybe one to DC as well)...

118000 on my 03 gt that i bought new in 02. I did just buy a Tacoma but i'm having a hard time making myself go clean the vibe up and sell it.Only thing i've had to do is clutch (70k i think) brakes and starter. I used to tow my boat with this car so that probably didn't help the brakes and clutch :D

110,000 on my '04, bought it in 2006 with 38k on the clock. I would buy a second Vibe if I found the right deal, like on an '08 awd or similar. Probably the best value for the money of any vehicle I've owned.

Suweet! Congrats, man!

I'm at 200,700 Currently. Took it to the shop to recharge the a/c. Will have to replace the front wheel bearing soon, and small leak in the radiator. Otherwise, the mechanic says the vibe is still in great condition.
