Here's my thinking on the 2008 Vibe:Stocky like the Aztek and maybe with the hood scoopFront like the PiranhaOld elements/sharp lines/styling of the '03 & '04 Vibe

I doubt it with those pics of a "test" vehicle... that also wouldn't involve Toyota if they just rebadged a astra (with some obvious changes)Looks like a neat car... just not a Vibe
Quote, originally posted by NascarXprt »when will they debut the redesign? im really anxious to see it. and i agreee with ANO i doubt that the Astra will be the Vibe redesign here.I thought they would do something at the Chicago Auto Show as they did for the 2005 Vibe refresh, but apparently that hasn't happened. I would assume we'll see something this spring or summer if not on the auto show circuit (there are still plenty shows left).
I hate to be the one to say it, but I doubt that there will be a new vibe. Toyota has already announced the replacement for the matrix, and GM has not made any notion of a next generation vibe. And with the way pontiac is focusing on a sporty image, a new vibe seems unlikely. They have already stopped production of the GT, and will probably retire the vibe in the next couple of years.
if they weren't going to make a new Vibe why have the camoed "test" vehicle? And what's this new matrix you speak of?The GT was dropped due to the engine not meeting emissions standards. I believe the Vibe could be very sporty. Drop the Turbocharged ECOTEC in it out of the Solstice GXP

I'm telling you, a rebadged Opel Astra, its already going to replace the Ion just rebadge it and call it a Pontiac. the head lights kinda look like the Vibes. and if you have a car in that classification in house, its easier to cut ties with Toyota down the line.
scherry, the ion is a coupe or sedan. i don't think they ever made hatchback versions. did you mean the vue??
