3/16/14: 3.619 at Shell in NE Columbus where we went to done at Easton Town Center. BP is 3.689 in my 43209 ZIP. Had 10 cents off on my Kroger card at shell as well. Took just 10 gal. Last fill up was 2/9/14 - don't drive a lot.

In hindsight, this tank should probably have been 87 octane since it's going into the shop yet again for transmission problems. If it's anything like last time it was in for the same thing they'll idle a lot of it out. Oops.

Just filled up the Equinox today at Krogers - regular unleaded - $3.02 less 0.30 per gallon Kroger card discount for $2.72 per gallon.

Last fillup I had saved up a $1.00 per gallon discount, and only paid $2.19 per gallon!

I paid $2.799 a gallon for unleaded regular today at a Speedway station in Lafayette, Indiana, about 35 miles from home.

That was 50 cents per gallon less than the Speedway station just a mile from home. I was going to Lafayette anyway today to drop off my son and pick up some supplies. I was driving our C-MAX hybrid that gets ~46 miles per gallon, so I saved enough on a 13 gallon purchase to make that round trip for 'free'.

Wow, it is dropping around the country. I was happy the HEB and Randall's grocery store kind of close to me dropped their price to $2.879 in a "price war".

If prices keep dropping, I hope to see below the $2.80 barrier the next time I fill up. I think the lowest I have seen driving around Dallas has been $2.82.

I paid $2.79 a few days ago (and that's without any discounts), but the cheapest I've seen is $2.74. I hope these prices stay low so that the next time I'm filling up I can run over to the Kroger and knock another $0.20 off per gallon.
