Have it inspected every 50000 miles. Honda valves were always easy to adjust as the rocker arm had a simple bolt and nut adjuster.... not too sure about the new Hondas.

Double check to make sure none of the heat shields on the exhaust system have come loose. It might just be a loose bolt on one under the car.

NGK spark plugs will do you well.

As for those plastic clips, take them into your local Toyota dealer. They'll be much cheaper there than buying them from GM.

The Vibes transmission is not the correct application for a GL5 lubricant. Your transmission does not have the sliding friction that would necessitate the use of EP additives or any of the other friction modifiers inherent in a GL5 gear oil. If you do enough research you will soon find the various t...

Don't use a GL5 fluid. You will only see worse shifting. I tried a GL5 fluid when I had the Vibe... Within 10 minutes I couldn't shift into second or third without double-clutching. That got drained out right quick. Went with Redline MT90 and never again had any issues even down past -40C! Buy a goo...

Re: Gasoline vs E85

There are places in the US where it is more cost effective to run E85, even with the poor mileage. For the big GM Trucks and SUV's it becomes more cost effective when E85 is about 30% cheaper than regular gas. I'd test this out myself but there are only 2 E85 stations in all of Canada.... Both somew...

Snow buildup around guardrails provides a nice launching platform! There's usually a couple of accidents like this around here every year where someone catapaults themselves over a barrier or cable... At least they landed on a service road and not oncoming freeway traffic!

1) Not quite... the rear cargo area of the nox doesn't fold flat and even with the rear seats pushed forward doesn't have the length capability of the Vibe. Also, I'm not convinced that they haven't got all the nasty bugs out of the 4cyl model. 6cyl models cost more than my Silverado, too. 2) You pa...

I remember my '76 Datusn pickup... There was nothing really notable about it apart from the imaginary brakes... it did start every time, though, and would not die no matter how low the oil got. Paid $400 for it... put 40000kms on it... sold it for $400.

Plugs are fine for another 65000 miles. You don't have a distributor or spark plug wires. Antifreeze should be changed now as it's been 5 years. Air filter and cabin air filter are easy diy items that take 5 minutes. Maybe fun a small bottle of fuel injector cleaner through your next tank of gas. Is...
