That goes in waves here in Maine. Sometimes they ignore not having a front plate. Sometimes they will ding you for not having one. You're running a risk of being stopped without a front plate, not worth it.

Also, are there any upgrades to the engine that have given good results in improving the mileage? Thanks Dan Mobil 1 5W30 oil, new set of NGK plugs, new plug wires, new air filter element, 39 psi front and 37 psi rear if the tires are rated for pressure that high, the least amount of stuff possible...

Black looks excellent! Chrome is OK, but the black grille soround on a black Vibe is perfect. Front end of the '09/'10 is my favorite part of the car. You really made it better.

I just did a couple of minor repairs on the Vibe....& it has renewed my pride for purchasing the Vibe LOL. Cars runs GREAT & I have been getting 27 - 28 MPG CITY ! on a consistent basis with AC ON !....Great car for being 10 years old ! Thankfully for its corolla drivetrain & LOW pontia...

I drive Maine roads and the 17s have endured the pot holes after Winter. Don't get a super low profile tire, though, they ride rough and don't do really well on broken pavement. Here in Maine, I wouldn't go less than a 50 sidewall. I have 205/45 16s on my old Honda, and I'm really careful with those...

MtnVibe has rectangular bars on the factory side rails, not factory cross bars. Vibe side rails are fairly beefy. xcargo pictured on the Vibe is wedge shaped enough (taller in back than front) that the top doesn't look like it's tilted back too much. I think I would feel that box up there at 60+ mph...

The angle of the "rocketbox" on the top of your Vibe will help launch you into orbit when you hit 88 mph if lightning hits your car! Have no idea what year it will turn out to be when you get back. I would look into finding a spacer of some sort to lift the rear bar and help level your roc...

Good thing I sat down! But the Sonic is a really great car. Not too many know that yet... since a lot of people think it's just a redone Korean Aveo, instead of an actual from the ground up new hatch from Chevy - and built here in the US of A! Well, here's hoping those Winter tires aren't set at 50 psi !!! :o Winter tires can ride a little rougher than a nice set of Summers. Not all do, but some. Brand of tire can make a difference.

Seriously, check your tire pressures.

Very encouraging to hear this. Monsoon is more like a distorted rain shower, so I may try this now that I've seen someone else successfully change the head unit and speakers... and hooked it all up with the "sub" amplifier. Need to see how that Kenwood looks in your dash!!

Oh it wasn't a question, I was just confirming that they indeed had them in 16". And realistically the pricing is on the low side if you look at tires with similar characteristics and user ratings.. $109 a tire is certainly cheaper than Michelin Defenders or the like at $130! Or a set of 205/5...
