I bought an STP CAF1816P for $13.99 from AutoZone. The STP book listed it as the cabin air filter for both the Vibe and Matrix (2009). It is the same size and shape as the stock filter that came out, and fit the same going in. Lots cheaper than the stock filter.

My experience is pretty much the same as Carrie's, with a couple small differences.The worst mileage I have gotten from my Vibe was about 25mpg. The best was 35.1mpg. Love the new ride!I'm pretty partial to that color! At first, I wasn't too fond of my pinstripes either (which the previous owner had installed), but they have grown on me now, and I have come to appreciate them. I almost had the front (curved) ones removed, but I've decided to keep the whole set.

You're right, Michelle - Max A/C is "max" because it is cooling already-cooled air, instead of hot air from outside. So the air cools down faster. The compressor doesn't work any different (although on some vehicles, the fan turns faster on Max A/C, but not on my Vibe).Geoff
