Looks clean and nice.
I don't remember what brands of rotors and pads are on my 05 vibe. But after many years and miles they still work perfectly. I think they were replaced at the dealship last time.

Did another trip of 1450 miles on my 05 Vibe. I folded the rear seats and loaded the entire cabin with my staff. The rear wheel gaps are essentially gone. The ride quality was much worse because of the weight. Much more body roll so I felt dizzy after the long trip. Another problem is that the head...

Welcome to Genvibe. I recently replaced the original black color intake manifold gasket with a new orange color one and fixed the fuel system too lean problem.

VW CC, easily go over 100 mph with confidence.
05 Vibe, 85 mph maximum. It's well maintained so no shaking or anything strange at that speed. It's just the feeling. I feel if I commit even the slightest mistake the car will crash.

Did a 1354.1 miles road trip. Averaged 33.2 mpg. Driving the vibe for long is stressful when the speed exceeds 65 miles per hour.

I only replaced the passenger side inflator on my 05.

BTW, I dropped my car with the CEL on. The car is so old that the chevy service people didn't even try to sell me a fix.

The wheelbase of the C-HR is even shorter than the current corolla. The rear hatch also loses a lot of internal space. When shall we get a true matrix/vibe successor?

Installed a new pair of Strongarm 4079 liftgate supports. They fit perfectly and work great, plus they're American made. Around $43 plus tax. Welcome to the forum. I own a 05 too. I agree the four speed makes the mpg low when cruising on the highway. Other than that, the car drives pretty well under 45 mph.

I have a white 05. If I polish the body the paint looks much better. But the paint on my bumper is soft and seems to be without a clear coat. No matter what I do I can't bring any shine out of it.

If I remember correctly. It is very easy to disconnect the wires by releasing the connectors behind the headliners on the driver side of the vehicle.

I wish I still have these parts. I had a extra pair of the hinges when I bought a lift gate from the yard. But I lived in an apartment and it's hard to keep these parts.

Thanks. Just need a pair of the rubber parts. There are plenty of similar bushings for other brands of cars. But I couldn't find one for the vibe/matrix.

They are very inexpensive on ebay though it may take a while to receive them. Just search the GM part number.
But personally I prefer zip ties. They last much longer.

Cleaned some paint chips that start to show rust. Touched them up with ACDelco paint (good matching). I noticed that the original paint on the frame of the door is very thin. Some corners and creases started to show rust.

I think you do need to unbolt the flange of the exhaust to take off the heat shield.

I thought the shops always over-filled the oil. It is just because the marks on the original stick are lower.
