Re: Oil leak question

I picked up a new sending unit yesterday ($13 at Auto Zone) and a socket to fit it (24mm), along with a can of spray degreaser. After cleaning it off I thought about replacing it but realized that if I didn't drain the oil first I might be about to create a large mess on my garage floor. But I did w...

Re: Cheapest tires that are worth a damn?

I put a set of new Evolution Tour 205/60s on my 08 last week when I had the winter tires taken off. Very noticeable ride improvement even over the same size CS3s that are on my 05. Got about 5-6/32nds on those so I'll run them at least for the summer, or as long as they'll last then replace with the...

I had it in to a dealer last week for the air bag recall and asked them to put it on a lift and see if they could tell where it was coming from. The answer as relayed by the service writer was "oil cooler lines". What???

My daughter had an accident in her 2004 base a few years ago, she spun out and slammed backwards into an earth berm. Last year I paid $4500 for a one-owner 05 with 101k, so for me $5000 for an 06 with only 60k is not out of line. I wonder if the door issue is as simple as a latch adjustment? Had the same sort of thing in my 04, the #3 plug had worked itself loose somehow. Poor performance, rough idle, gas blowing by the loose threads. Agree 100% on the dedicated winter tires. A 2000 Corolla I sold a few months ago came with a set of studded snows, Hancook's I think.
