So after some work, and a lot of trial and error to determine how gConverter translated old thread titles to new topic titles, I've determined that there are very few threads missing (less than 10 out of 38,000). At least some of those are from users whose accounts were deleted in the last few days ...

no longer over 9000? i resynced all the post counts, so they should be accurate. your number would be high if it included posts that had subequently been deleted, pruned, etc... atlhough 25% change sounds pretty high!

since i moved the site to its own server, i set the time zone back to PST/PDT. i'm not sure why zeroforum seems tied to that, but at this point i'm not going to spend any time with it.

The server is set to CDT. I'm surprised you saw 2 hours before, I would have expected 1 hour if anything. I haven't had enough time to fully investigate the time zone issue; it was working fine when the server was PST/PDT, but when I changed it to CST/CDT and made the matching configuration changes,...
