22 years is remarkable for a water heater! I believe I read the average life span of home mechanicals is between 10-15 years. There's a lot to gain from replacing a tank that doesn't appear to need it. For starters, as has been said, the heating technology has advanced considerably in the past 5-10 ...

My sources indicate the 09 Vibe uses the GM Getrag F23/5 transmission -- the same 5 speed manual used in the Cobalt and G5.

The vibe is NOT going to work with GM's ipod adapter. The 09 has a faceplate aux port which would allow you to pump the ipod's audio output into the stereo, but it will NOT allow you to control the ipod from the radio. The Vibe is not built with a traditional GMLAN technology which is needed for GM'...
