I really don't know what the sales figures are but I can't believe that GM will just walk away from a platform after two model years. I guess if it was just a "tweak" and restyle of the same platform they aren't loosing so much of their investment. Still, if it was popular they could put a...

Automatic technology has made great advances in recent years, so it is not unheard of for an automatic to get better gas mileage than a manual. I am not sure if it is the gearing, the fact that many autos now have five or more gear ratios or what.

How timely! I signed up for "tagged.com" because I wanted to play a game called Mafia Wars. The site seems legit for the most part, but they phished my email account and sent out emails to everyone on the list saying I wanted them to be my "friend". It even sent emails saying I w...

I wonder what a body shop could do on ordering the parts/install? I was looking more closely at the front bumper of mine and the black vent things look like they might be removable - so you could replace it w/the parts just as if it had been in a wreck?

I test drove the 1.8L and the 2.4L (both manual transmission) and then bought the 2.4L but really only because I wanted the sunroof and stereo upgrades.I probably would have been very satisfied with the 1.8L as I found it quick around town. I didn't notice a difference in the noise level but I suppo...

Only four mods in the pipeline right now - an OEM rear spoiler (GT style), probably a magnaflow muffler and tip (not even a cat back), fog/driving lights and lowering springs.I'd guess only the lowering springs would get me any flak - and then only for something in the suspension/tires or wheels. Th...

Well, the buying experience was not completely smooth. First, I forgot to give them the "bonus earnings code" and the sales mgr guy came back from running my card to tell me I was limited to $1000 off, not $4299. So, I showed him my paperwork (good thing I printed it off!) and he figured o...

There's a GT bumper on ebay, but it also looks a bit rough. I'd get the GT bumper - I like it better than the one on my 2.4L.

Re: Fog lights on a 2009 (ned23)

Has your dealer actually installed the lights on your car? Seems as if there is no actual "kit" from Pontiac (otherwise, it'd be available as an accessory, like adding a GT spoiler) that the dealer is just rigging something up - though I suppose all the brackets and stuff should work.Quote...

I think GM is just trying to shake every possible customer out of the trees. They had a $1000 customer cash and then removed that June 4. My June 3 quote for the GT at $17,701 suddenly jumped a grand (plus an add'l $500 because I wanted the 0%). So, GM adds the loyalty cash to shake loose other relu...

I would have gone for the Mazda 5 w/the 5 speed - then added the rear spoiler and side skirts. For all that "zoom zoom" image you can't get a 5 speed stick in anything but the basest base model. Here's a pic of me back when I was in college w/my first car. Posted it here and in the picture ...

Just purchased a 2009 Vibe 2.4L with the manual transmission - Liquid Platinum. I've liked the Vibe and Matrix from the start and now that I've got a daughter in college that could really use my '97 Honda Civic, I was car shopping.I ended up with these three on the top of my list, in order:1.
