I know you said you replaced it, but 99% of the time a P0171 is a leaking air intake gasket. Did you use the correct, redesigned orange gasket from Toyota?

Ha. Well, I found that diagram by searching for information on how to use the bulldog 775 relay to pop a trunk. I'll take your word for it that isn't needed.

A first gen Vibe. You can lay the front passenger seat forward. Put your feet up there and your head in the hatch area. You can fit 8' lumber in one this way.

Yes, the 1ZZ will bolt to the 6spd. Many people have made the 6 spd swap into the base models.

I don't know the specifics, but the short answer to your question is yes, you can swap a 1ZZ in to a GT. You will need at least the engine and the ECU, after that, I'm clueless.

The fans run all the time when the A/C is on. If you have your vents set to defrost, even it you're blowing heat, then the A/C is running.

Now, if the A/C is off, then fan should cycle on and off as needed.

I was surprised they let me make the reservation with the Vibe as the tow car, because they make you specify. They officially had to downgrade the load rating, but no one batted at eye at what I was doing. I checked to make sure before I even bought the receiver.

I towed a UHaul 5x8 trailer 1000 miles from Florida to Texas with my automatic Vibe. Slow and steady. No problems, aside from terrible gas mileage.

Yes. Defrost turns on the AC and the radiator fan is always on when the AC is running.

Oh and aside from the cosmetic grill change, an 07 is 99% the same as an 04. ;)
