Re: Will these rims fit my '09 Base?

The ID of those rims looks just a hair too small and that dimension isn't often listed. Same with the lug stud holes to base. The Calipers/rotors on the 2.4L Vibes were bigger but also 5x114 so I doubt they would have used those. And you've got your spare ire jack and tire iron to swap one out quick!

Sell 'em and keep looking! When you're looking at new rims, bring a jack and try to fit them right away.

Re: 16" to 17" wheels...mileage decrease ?

That will depend on the size of tire you go with.... and the weight of the rims. There was no difference, maybe even an increase, when I went to 17's on my old Vibe. 205-50-17 is nearly identical to 205-55-16. If you go bigger your speedometer will show larger discrepancies thus decreasing the accur...

Whatever Calgary uses, it eats cars and comes in cube form. There are trucks that spew this all over the road until about -20, when they switch to sand. On my drive to work (in Cochrane) the salt use ends at the city limit on hwy 1A. Cochrane uses the liquid garbage... an entirely different form of ...

Not just the paint... the plastic bumper itself is chipped. You will need to sand the whole thing and repaint or buy a new bumper.

Somewhere, either here or Toyotanation or Matrixowners, there was a list of how the transmission was changed. Seems only the 03-04 model years were bad.

Best thing you can do is change your transmission fluid to Redline MTL or MT-90.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere in the starting circuit. I'd start at the ignition, could be as simple as a start wire with a bad connection. Or the starter itself, wire might be loose. I've got a lot of catch-up reading to do, but hopefully I'll be back around more often. I'd say... You've m...
