Re: Help me decide which one! (ArcsVibe)

Actually, (going against forum opinion) I like #4 the best! I also like #1, but #1 didn't copy well in the montage, probably because it was the first one I did. My choice is based upon practical experience with those Indiana winter/spring road hazards we call 'chuckholes'. I think they would eat #3 ...

Extreme weatherstrip wear by drivers door?

I purchased my 03 Vibe (with 22k miles) from a GM dealer about 3 weeks ago. Today I noticed that the rubber weatherstrip on the drivers doorframe (not the door) is completely worn through on the leading edge closest to the door.Has anyone else noticed such extreme wear? D'ya suppose I can get it rep...

Re: Help me decide which one! (ArcsVibe)

Here's a really quick & dirty look at all 4, plus your base steelies with wheel covers. I used the photo of your 'baby' in the shopping center from cardomain. It's hard to 'warp' the rear wheels properly with the old program I was using, so I apologize in advance.

Has anyone chromed their factory alloy wheels?

In response to the inevitable question 'Why bother?', I've noticed that Chrysler offers both painted (Touring Edition) and chromed (Limited Edition) alloy wheels for the PT Cruiser, and the chromed ones look a LOT better than the painted ones. It MIGHT be cheaper than starting over with new wheels/t...

(51 here, going on 22.)Back in the day, 440's weren't Hemis. The Hemi's were the 426's with hemispherical combustion chambers. The 440's were wedge-heads as I recall, more closely related to the 318's and 383's. But I've slept since then!On the Vibe note, I tried a GT, but I live in a small town, and...

Re: Any adavnce and/or tips for buying a Matrix or a Vibe? (fred)

There are lots of used Vibes coming on the market, too. I saved about $7000 off the sticker of an '04 by buying a gently-used '03 equipped exactly as I wanted it. That depreciation is murder. Vibes are the best selling Pontiacs at lots of dealers, so don't let them jerk you around when it comes time...
