You're one of the few I have heard that actually likes, or at least tolerated them.Personally, I found them pretty grippy in the dry, but anything else they were dangerous on both my wife's Vibe and my Mazda. Near the end, and they weren't bald, they were hydroplaning when there was little/no reason...

$40 for an O2 sesnor on an OBD II car?? PLEASE, tell me where YOU shop!!? I paid that much for the one I bought for my wife's Saturn a few yrs ago (actually a little less,) but that was a single sensor (no aft cat O2 on that car) and an OBD I car.

That's got my vote!!Less rolling resistance= less traction= longer braking distances.And if that's the case, it's not worth another 1-2mpg, IMHO.
