Have you considered getting a used seat from the junk yard? I bet you will find a serviceable one rather inexpensively. You would have time to take it apart and wash the covers and wash out the foam pads while you still use the old seat. There is a thread somewhere here how to take the seat apart. ...

great details and images. i simply ran a few relays to have the fogs always on and ran them through a switch so they can be stock, or always on. same thing with the drl/auto headlight.

The matrix radio will not work in the vibe. the vibe uses GM radio and components whereas the matrix uses Toyota. It may be possible with some sort of adapter harness. I'd change the valve cover gasket. It's cheap maintenance that could resolve parts of your issue. Burning some oil on your year/engine Vibe is common in general, especially at that mileage. I don't recollect the full story, but something to do with the piston rings or something wear out and oil seep...

On the part that you angle grinded, did you seal the metal edge with paint or primer? I can't imagine they'd make that part with stainless. i would do the valve cover gasket and timing chain tensioner o-ring. usually if the timing cover seal leaks, it is down by the crank pulley.
