Click on this link, go down a couple of paragraphs to "Octane Facts". It says "High octane gasoline burns slower than low octane gasoline. The slow burn prevents engine knock when cylinder pressures are high." http://mn.gov/commerce/weights-and-measures/images/OctaneFacts.pdf&quo...

Re: Regular unleaded 87 vs mid grade 89 vs premium??

Here's some food for thought. Charles Grassley is a senator from Iowa. He is on the farm committee. Chuck, his son Robin and grandson Pat (who is in the Iowa legislature....see a pattern developing here?) own farmland. Between the three of them, they have taken over ONE MILLION TAX DOLLARS from the ...

One possibility is oil leaking past the valve stem seals. Unless it is REALLY bad, it's cheaper to add a little oil than it is to replace the seals.

Since the AC clutch is not lubricated in any way, I fail to see the connection. The post-lockup oil change was not needed.

Did you tie a string to the Vibe when you gave it away? NO?

Then it isn't (and hasn't been for 4 years) YOUR Vibe.

Really nice!!!

And, proof that you don't need a 100 inch motor to tour. I have an NT700V Honda and a 400 cc Yamaha Majesty. Both do just fine with two up.

Keep that little Honda forever. Don't ever let it get away.

The Water Removal Additive sounds like HEET, which is just alcohol. A tank of E10 would do the same thing, but I wouldn't run it all the time.

You could probably do it that way. I ran the heavy red wire that came with the kit to the battery, with with the included fuse. Takes a little longer, but the wiring is now "out of sight, out of mind".

Jumped in the Vibe last night and drove about 20 miles to a neighboring town to see a movie. About half way there, the TPMS light came on. "Must be the drop in temperature" I thought. This morning, I went out to check the tires and found the left rear at about 10 lbs. Blew it up to 32 and ...

My Vibe went on vacation and took my wife and I along. We drove from northeast Iowa to Rapid City SD. The Vibe traveled 1438 miles and got 28.8 mpg at 75 mph on I-90 and a LOT on fun, twisty roads and hills around Rapid City. Besides the two of us, we had one BIG suitcase, a cooler, laptop bag and 3...

I had mine done yesterday. I talked to the service manager for quite awhile because I had reservations, but I went ahead with it. The pedal seems a little touchier, and it JUMPS away from a light. There is no, or very little, movement before it reacts. Just have to get used to it.
