Installed a cx racing turbo on my 2zz . it made a lot of power but blew the oil seals within a few days . after much research it seems all ebay brands cxracing, godspeed and so on all have the same problems they are not always properly ballanced and use low quality soft parts such as the thrust wash...
the ebay turbo i had installed blew the oil seals within a few days so i have since installed a turbonetics t3/to4e its a bit to big for the car and my spool times are terrible now , seems to make the same power but no bost till 4k and only 6 psi at red line :-( i will be changing the pipping size f...

put the red line in last night , deff shifts noticably better . its about 10-20 % easier to get into 1st & R , jams 2nd a little easier too . deff recomended !
I did 130 at like 7ish rpms in 5th yesteday on the turn pike , it takes quite a while to get any faster than 110 from then on it just dont pull the way 3rd gear does ( third gear makes me happy :-) ) there was a curve coming up so i gave up , but i had another 1000+rpm and 6th gear waiting :-) at re...
i have the continental extreame contact 235/45/17 on 17x7's and i love them
i didnt shop around they were just the best used tires in that size i could find on craigslist at the time
i would opt for the wider lower profile tire , but keep in mind the stock wheels are pretty narrow (6.5 '' i think) 225 is kinda pushing it . can you get the S04 in a 215 50 ?
might end up being a happy medium
Deff go withe the tc 17" wheels they will look better , turn faster, and squeel less! Go with the stickiest tire possible (lowesr tread wear) also for tight autocross turns you may want to put extra air in the rear tires or get cheaper rear tire so it will rotate a little better ie. Reduce unde...
My motor is soon to be turbo , with a custom tune HP = Heat im adding about 70 hp so i want to keep the temps where they use to be TRD is Toyotays Racing division therefore it is a genuine toyota part and i went with the milder of the two thermostats and will have a custom tune i see zero negative s...
A 170 trd thermostat is fine. Its the 160 thermostat that will cause problems
a. Because the coolant needs more rime to stay in the rad to cool
b. Because of temp vs fuel mix
Says in desription of the 160 not to use without a way to tune fuel maps
Beware light weigh underdrive pulleys have a tendancy to knock a bit of life off of the engine and can cause leaks at the front seal. I have an unorthadox pulley on my supraand have had no problems, but they are internaly ballanced due to the design of the crank.
just installed a digital gauge & red hoses , cruising temps were around 180-190f got the 170 trd thermostat now criusing temps are 160-175f fan went bad so now i ordered dual 10'' fans , 2 row aluminum racing rad , and a catch tank hoping for even cooler temps right now im cruising around with n...
hey guys just put in an oil pressure gauge , and the pressure at idle or low rpm on the down shifts is really low ! the highest it idles is 23is but it dips to under 10 psi sometimes at idle !!!!!! no leaks at all and im getting this pressure at the filter housing i got the greddy kit and the gauge ...
engine breaking gets better mpg than idling does esp since it will idle at higher rpm when at any kind of speed vs parked if you take this trip regularly i would deff get a high quality set of pads and rotors esp on the front . if its disk in the rear change them out to . brembo's and ebc's are pret...
Grrrrr i had to send the boomslang harness back to get checked . i had a maf code , wouldnt rev past 3k and, the tach on the pc/software reads 9000 rpm at idle

you can prolly make a ring out of a coat hanger if your patient and can weld
all the lug centric toyota wheels are the kind with the washers and nut that has a shank that goes into the lug wholes , if you use them on steelies they will come lose after a few pot holes . deff get centric rings and the apropriate nuts for the wheels there are two basic types of nuts the rounded...

yea its borderline dangerous to drive the speed limit . considering almost every one else does 5-20 over most of the time . most of that driving was done in the 35-45 range and in hilly towns . also im a dj so this was mostly late night driving with little to no trafic , but i had 200 lbs of sterio ...
i was very jealous of every one getting more than 25 mpg so i figured i would see what all the fuss was about
soooooo not worth the agrivation or time lost to drive that slow though . so ill go back to my regularly 21-23 mpg
2003 vibe gt 2zz w/ a 6speed ok so here is the scoop normally i shift around 3k and give it 1/3 throttle and usually do 10-15 mph over the limit driving like that i usually get between 21-23 mpg around town no highway this last tank i drove soooo slow it was painful i shifted under 2k and gave it ab...

normally the L & R mounts hardly ever go bad on fwd cars its the F & R mounts that take all the abuse . now if they get saturated with oil or coolant they may wear out a bit quicker the noise i was getting was due to the washers on the bolt groaning against the mount as it shifted on the fra...
Make sure you can either put it back together the way it was or w new part before you get in to deep cause you dont wana drive it to a shop w the fender flapping in the breeze . taking pics as you go and keeping your nuts/bolts organized will help with that . good luck !
I recently replaced all my external bulbs with multiple led style bulbs , they look great and are much brighter . but the turn signals blink to fast now , i am aware that its because of the resistance being less in the system . however i dont want to put it back to stock . i am thinking of adding in...

also deff have them check the balance before they remove the weights if any wheel is out by more than a 1/2oz you will know that was the problem . and do not get a static balance (weights on inside only) even if they have to put the weights for the outside on the back of the spoke you should have a ...

curb rash can deff nock the wheel out of ballance , but if you re ballance all 4 that should fix you right up as long as you keep them away from curbs in the future lol
i would suggest a rotation every other oil change and a Ballance every 4th
Anyone want to buy The stock radio for an 03 gt with moon/tunes ? I have the factory 6 cd/radio and the amp that goes under the pass seat . i would like to get $125 for the pair , but i will let it go for $100 if you mail me back my 6 favorite CD's i left in the player before i put my dvd player in ...
Thats how the "GTR" is would deff be a much straighter shot for the pipe . with the oem bumper i would either leave it on th drivers side or do Dual and cut out the pass side to match
