Shouldn't lawn mowers and such be going on seasonal clearance soon at places like Lowes and Home Depot? Don't get me wrong: If you need a lawnmower, you need a lawnmower (unless your neighbors already hate you). But I've had pretty good luck as far as deals go by buying in late-September or October.

According to both Denso & NKG, their iridium plugs come w/trivalent chrome coating...which is supposed to eliminate the need for anti-seize.As such, I didn't use any when I installed my NKG IX's the other day, but then I doubt I'll still have my Vibe when it comes time to replace them.

Every Vibe came from NUMMI w/Toyota fluids and filters; the owner's manual for the Vibe is the only place you'll see GM-fluid recommendations. That said, I prefer to follow the Matrix/Corolla recommendations (buying a used M/C owner's manual off of Ebay isn't a bad idea).

I too went w/the Duralast Gold "CMax" pads on my Vibe and Ranger. Quiet, clean & fairly cheap...plus, they have a lifetime warranty (so free pads for life).

I agree w/Keithvibe...~1800rpm is pretty normal for a morning or cold-weather start. This morning my garage was -4F and my '05 Vibe rev'd at that for 3-4 minutes before slowly dropping down to 1K (I don't normally let it idle that long, but it was freaking cold).
