Re: Car stalls way more than it should

In general it is a good idea to trace back for anything that may have been disconnected or disturbed during the recent work.

Beyond that give us a little more to go by.
How many miles?
How old are the spark plugs?
Any fluid leaks? (Valve cover gasket maybe?)

Re: Is a 2009 Vibe with 150,000 Miles on It Used Up?

I heard recently that the '09s had an oil burning issue, as another Toyota I had did. As long as you kept the level okay, it would keep running fine. You can't ignore it between changes. I believe this is true for the 2.4L engine. KC27 is looking at a 1.8L version. KC: in either case have the car i...

If the ebay picture is of the actual strut then the spring has 9 windings, one more than the original. The Monroe struts have an extra winding as well and they are taller than the original.

Mine does that too. The door strap interferes with the window because the sheet metal where the door strap is bolted to the door is ever so slightly bent. I still have to bend mine back.

My experience with expiring gas struts is that the ride does get rougher at first because the gas pressure gets lost, then there will be an oil leak and the ride gets softer. Most mechanics look for oil leaks and give a thumbs up when the struts look dry. I've put Monroe quick struts in my Gen1. The...
