Re: Posting pictures

Tried both but had to go to Photobucket to get it to work. Thanks for the help, this site has helped me and our Vibes so much.

Posting pictures

I searched on this subject but only got many people thanking them for posting pictures. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, would someone help me figure this process out? I have a three vibe family and have wanted to post pictures for a while and even have them but can't figure out how to get the...

09 GT Alloy rim Torque

I look in the manual and the only wheel lug Torque spec. is 76 ft lbs. I know that is the same as the steel hubs. Is that the same for the 18" Gt wheels?

Re: VSC flashing, Check Engine & Traction Control

Well Vibe lovers, this story has come to a conclusion. It took a lot of work on the car to figure out what it was but it was a bad front oxygen sensor. I have no idea why because the code was P0138 which is the code for the rear sensor but after much gnashing of teeth it has been solved and I hope t...

Re: um... please help me fix my careless mistake

I'm pretty sure the larger one is the rear O2 sensor connector and the smaller one may be a seat belt buckle sensor connector.

Trans fluid for 07 vibe?

How much should be in the pan when you change it? The owners manual says 3.2 Qt. I went to the parts store and picked up 4 Qts. and a filter, dropped the pan and drained the oil changed the filter and after cleaning the pan up, installed it back on the car. I usually just add what comes out and chec...

We are Vibe Hogs!

Well, two was just not enough! Our family officially became a three Vibe family today with a Sweet little 04 Silver Base Model. A whisker over 100K and it really rides like new. A one owner car bought new at the dealer we bought it from and traded it for a new Ford Escape. I bet they already regret ...

Re: VSC flashing, Check Engine & Traction Control

Well so far so good, I replaced the downstream O2 sensor today, 59 bucks delivered to my home. Cleared the codes and went out for a drive, no more dash lights! I do have a hint for anyone replacing the rear sensor on a 09-10 Vibe. First, follow the sensor wires to its connector. Then remove the conn...

Re: VSC flashing, Check Engine & Traction Control

Well I got tired of getting ripped off so I bought a code reader to try and figure out what was causing this issue. There was only one code stored on the car it was P0138 that is probably the rear Oxygen sensor and it is relatively easy to replace and not too bad cost-wise either. I have more than i...

VSC flashing, Check Engine & Traction Control

I have a flashing "VSC Off", Check Engine, and Traction Control lights all coming on at once. I cleared them twice by disconnecting the battery but they keep coming back after 15-25 miles of driving. I have a 09 GT with the 2.4L motor and AT. Does anyone have an idea what this might be? It...

Re: Looking to Buy a Vibe...

My my, you and I do have a lot in common. When my dog goes along with me I just buckle the belt and the buzzer quiets down. The only other way is fold the left front seat flat and send her to the back seat. Did you find an AWD?

I don't know if I could wrestle it from her but I'll let you know if she changes her mind. It is a FWD though, not a AWD.

Re: Looking to Buy a Vibe...

Here is an AWD in Viroqua (W/central part of Wisconsin near LaCrosse) it's an 09 base w/AWD 20000 fewer miles and 3 years newer than what you were looking at. It has the 2.4 motor that is better for the extra stuff the AWD entails. Give it a look if you are anywhere near that part of the state. Don'...

Re: Looking to Buy a Vibe...

I don't know if you are looking for a AWD drive for any specific reason (They are nice to have) but that really lowers the amount of vehicles that are available. I live in Wisconsin and while I wouldn't mind having an AWD I have never had to stay home with our Vibe unless ice is an issue and AWD wou...

Re: 18" GT Wheels Look Great, But....

I had the same situation with the stock tires and changed to Continentals DWS tires when the old (stock) tires wore out. Much better, not Buick plush but manageable now. The Goodyears wear great but have no give.

Welcome to GenVibe. Hmmmmm ... that Vibe looks familiar  What's up with the Florida Vibes & no sunroofs ??? Oh well, one less thing to worry about BUT I wouldn't have bought mine without the sunroof. Enjoy the ride and the fuel savings ;) Does any of your Vibes have a hitch? Now that I don...

Re: Just hit 170k on my 09 GT

Better check your dipstick! I'm not completely kidding the day I bought my Vibe (used) I noticed a rattling noise inside the engine compartment. Seems the oil fill cap was loose and just rattling around loose in the well that it fits in. I tightened it up and didn't think too much about it but later...

New Tires

Well, after much trepidation, I finally replaced my tires. I wanted to try and get a better ride and someone here recommended the Continentals. They are harder to find than Hens Teeth! I had to go on-line to get them from tire buyer but I really like the grip and they are somewhat softer than the OE...

Re: Homer to Lisa: "Never Help Anyone"

My thoughts are never let anyone have something that you not ready to part with (completely). I'm not sure I would have given it to him but sold it to him for some nominal amount (500) what a car that runs but needs lots of work is worth, then you mentally write-off any attachment to it. I have not ...

Re: Recall Notice about the Window switches

I'm gathering the letter I got means to inform me that my car will need to get worked on at some point. The switch seems normal on my car so do I wait for another letter or call them and schedule a fix for it? The letter seems to imply there will be a fix coming in the future and to wait for another...

Re: Tire size?

Perhaps I should clarify what I was asking. Do you think a 215/55R18 instead of a 215/45R18 would work on a stock rim and stock GT 2009 Vibe If I went with the 55 profile the uber-stiffness may be reduced but I'm not sure it will fit.

Tire size?

Will a tire with a 50 or 55 profile fit on a 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT? The stock tire is 215/45R18 for that car but I would like to give it a bit wider side wall to give it less firm a ride. Also I'm looking for a back deck carpet mat, we have floor mats and in or 2007 Vibe they came with a really nice ...
