mine was cleaned when about it (1.5 years ago) its been whiped down a few times since then.I think the route you take on the cleaning is based on your conditions. Since ive left Post-secondary and moved to heavy equipment the engine requires more then just cloth and some water

took it to the "Buggy Bath" a nice 3 inches of mud off, especialy in the wheel wells the mud poured out a good vacume, some armour alland a Mobil1 oil change

i just changed the oil this evening, my washer stuck to the oil pan turns out it wasnt in the greatest shape. i did a quick cleaning and banged it back into shape. the next oil change it will need to be replaced.

i try to do it every 6-8 thousand KM usualy it will depend on when mobil1 is on sale wich is usaly about 6k!

highmilage oils are a good alternative since you got this car late in the game it is useless using anything fancy.
