Your DOT inspects headlights? Mine pulled the car into a bay wrote down the VIN, backed it out and passed me. Since it's a 2005 they don't do many checks on the car unless it's belching smoke.

DRL is easy to disable. Some used a wire clip but since I hate DRL I just went under the steering wheel and pulled down the DRL module (it's labeled as such) and cut the wire.

Watercleaning inside an engine? That's right about up there with "blinker fluid" and "go fast stickers". You can use water to clean the outside of the engine but since water is not combustible it will not be effective, nor should it be used at all.

Sweet I'll pickup the gear lube and pump this weekend for a little under car time. Coolant is being handled as well.Brakes are fine, all other items have been checked recently, air and cabin filters have been replaced consistently (most recently about 3k ago).

The cap comes with it you don't have to use it. Just spray and then use your trusty long reach scraper. Although in my experience once this is sprayed on you can either just brush the rest off or use your wipers.Note when using it is best to remove snow voering first.

Oops. Yes plugs were changed at or just before 100k. I went with NGK IR instead of the stock Denso's. Cooling will probably be a dealer job to handle before it gets too cold out. I stopped into a Verizon store last night (real Verizon, not a Wireless Zone). Was told that because of my tenure and my New Every 2 contract, I can upgrade in January so I am going to stick it out for the Holiday season. Hopefully by then some new phones will be out that interest me more.

Yes but the phones on Verizon are all FULL price which means $300-400 for a phone. Way out of range of what I want to pay. I don't trust buying a used phone either. I know the MS3 is 2300lbs. I would have to summize that with new tech and gear and safety stuff in the Focus it will run closer to 2500. It seems they may market the MS3 more hardcore (i.e. only with a manual) and the ST towards a more upscale feel.

Congrats! At 116,000 I'm on my 3rd set of brakes and 3rd set of tires. One tranny flush done at around 60-70k, no coolant flushes to date, and one serpentine belt at about 60-70k.

You can get HIR bulbs from John Deere. Just go to their part site and lookup the 9012 bulb. That is the 9006 low beam. The 9005 require you to chisel out part of the holster as it has a tab that is made to fit the 9005 connector (so you don't confuse with 9006 since they look similar). You will lose...

I have it on my Matrix as well. It is for protecting against any rocks or debris that could get thrown up by the front wheels. It is just a small patch and mine is starting to peel as well. Until it gets worse I will then just pull it off, but for now it's only a tiny bit.

Go for the Goodyear Gatorback. I installed mine at around 50-60,000 and am currently at 116,000 with no wear on the belt showing.
