Re: Where to mount microphone?

I had mine mounted on one of the ledges near the gauges and it worked OK. Then I moved it so it's up at the top of the A pillar where the plastic meets the fabric. It seems to work better, probably since there's fewer surfaces reflecting sound around it, Mine is wired up thru the A pillar, as well....

Compact crossovers bug me. Weee, it's a crossover, not a lame wagon or hatchback! But... Lower it and you get a hatchback. But then they narrow the rear roof to make it seem taller and cut down on its practicality and ruin the hatchback look. I'd much rather wait for the Scion IM. It's the Toyota A...

We opted out as such a lawsuit was a complete crock. I will not contribute to such a thing. It only lines the pockets of the lawyer groups involved. Not to mention, I believe the whole UA fiasco was just that a freakin' fiasco. Granted, $29 may be quite a bit comparatively, but that only proves my p...

Should be no issues with the battery itself but you're saying that one battery is actually larger. It would probably still fit fine. You could double check the measurements or just go for it as you could always return it if you can't fit the battery tie down or it's too big for the tray.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume it shouldn't rattle and that somewhere the exhaust is sitting super close to something it rattles off of - just enough so it doesn't do it all the time. Now, I had this issue after replacing my Supra's exhaust once. It was a custom cat back. I eventually had to adjust o...

Haha I actually find the driving position a bit high. However, I rather enjoy the super low position of my lowered Supra and think our RAV sits a bit high. Though, in the RAV, I find it more acceptable.

Tomato, tomato. (You say it the right way in your head! :x )

Sounds a bit too risky. If they won't let you drive it, I'd say they're hiding a major problem. The most I'd bid on it is like $500. Passing on it simply because they won't let him test drive is a bit unfair given the it's an auction. No harm in him deciding what's it's worth to him given the possi...

If you run the factory amp (if yours is so equipped), you will need to buy a low line converter to install between the new stereo and the car's harness or you will get static from overpowering the factory amp. If you have it installed, there's a good chance the installers may miss this, as well. Fun...

Yes, do them. Trust me, they'll need it. You definitely want to replace the front strut top mounts as they are integral to the alignment and probably need replacing at this point, too. Once you get a new pair/remove your old ones, you'll probably understand what I mean. There's more there than just ...

You could probably find a cheap inclinometer as well. Once you know the incline degrees, you could always compare it...
