Welcome to Genvibe. Don't know much about the 2nd Gen Vibes/Matrix but them seem to hold up well also. Any mileage on a car is relative to what kind of miles.
I have a 05 Trix AWD and 03 Vibe GT so I know the pain of getting the correct parts. That number seems correct for both the XRS/GT the AWD is about the same. What's even more rare is the AT XRS only made in 03.
Need to watch how that IAC goes back in. IIRC there is way you can run coolant back into the TB if not careful. Not sure about IAC on the 1zz and 2zz. Go to a Toyota parts website and check the part number for the 2 different engines. EDIT: I checked and they have 2 different P/Ns and designate the ...
If it doesn't work now it may not work later. The 2nd Pressure sensor is to make you have proper oil pressure before you engage the Lift system because it's operated by oil. Here's video that explains it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9y7WEdhR6V8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fa...
It's an oil pressure switch to engage lift. It appears to be normally closed. If your filter was clogged you should get a CEL. I've been there and done it. If you don't have proper pressure in that system the ECU won't allow lift to engage. Maybe the switch is faulty or your oil level is low/pressur...

Have the GM dealership run the VIN and they can tell you if you have it. If you have power locks then more than likely you do. In regards to what flavor Key FOB, I've had issues with some off e-gay, unless they are OEM. Also check for Toyota Matrix Key Fobs. The ones we have work for both 03 Vibe an...
Looking at a 05 Vibe Repair Manual it requires removing the CAT and heat shields. Also looks like you'll need to break down the rotor and the rear brakes shoes.
Yes 91 Octane or better is needed for the GT/XRS 2zz-ge engine. On the 1zz Base/XR it's been my experience that 91 Octane does help the performance and the MPG. Seen maybe .5 seconds quicker and 2-4 more MPG. However I'm not sure the cost is worth it. These ECUs have knock sensors and it will advanc...
Say it isn't so! The 03 GT is the one of the most valued Vibes. 6200 Lift and no "smog pump". Don't know a lot about the 2nd Gen but heard the MPGs isn't as good and the "Fun" is down.
Yea the Lift will sputter sometimes or not work and then it's time to clean it. It's was clean about 4 times, the last time I pulled it for giggles and grins and it was clean. There's a code but not sure what it is, P169x or something like that. You may want to check the VVti filter also.
Check the basics. Tire Pressure, Air Filter, Plugs, Vvti filter, Transmission Fluids. Maybe Run some injector cleaner through the fuel system, Chevron makes good products. Is the Check Engine Light on? Also may want to put a code reader just encase the light is bad.
I had the same issue with my filter after buying 03 Vibe GT. Didn't think it hit Lift in 10 years. It took me about 6 months to get all the sludge out of the engine so the filter wouldn't clog.
Lift is AWESOME! Welcome to the club. Oh fuel cut off is about 8300 Rpms.
Yes change the filter also. A flush implies use of chemicals or force. Change over happens with normal fluids and pressure. If you flush the transmission on regular intervals (say every 50K or so) then it's fine. But if it's never been flushed you run the risk of breaking some build up loose and cau...
Don't flush the Tranny or run any chemicals in it!! You want a Fluid change over and is a simple process. Just disconnect the transmission return line from the radiator and transmission. Connect a hose to the fitting on the radiator and put into a 5 gallon bucket. Connect the Transmission side with ...
Then I suspect your Cat is bad then or have a wiring issue with the O2. On the Tensioner if your are going through all the work to replace the water pump, and you haven't replaced the Tensioner before, now is the time to do it, along with the belt. If it's not squeaking or making noise it maybe fine...
Again there doesn't appear to be any connection from the ABS to the Transfer case. Check your fluids brake, transfer case and rear diff. Also there is a fuse that if blown it will trip both lights
TPMS=Tire Pressure Monitoring System. On the 1st Gen VIbe/Matrix the TPMS was a function of the ABS system when it saw one tire spinning more than the other it "assumes" the tire pressure is low. But as Joatmon stated it wasn't a feature on the 03-04, my mistake. I'll look over the control...
Yes the AWD systems works independent of the ABS. There isn't any traction/stability control on the 03-06 AWD cars. Also the AWD isn't really a true AWD. It only engages when the front wheels slip.
I suggest you get that checked out. It may just be a ABS sensor. Is your TPMS light on also?
You are screwed a couple of ways. The 2zz will not bolt up to the AWD Transmission. Also the AWD 1zz engine has a special block so a FWD 1zz engine won't bolt up either. A guy on this this site did a FWD 1zz Block to a AWD Transmission but it was a pain. It could be done but requires a lot of fabric...
Normally the 05+ didn't have issues with the gaskets. Also there is a TSB regarding P0133 in the AWD Vibe/Matrix not sure if it included the 06 or not. It requires an ECU reflash. A P0133 isn't considered a bad code and not normally associated with a leaky manifold gasket. Check this out http://foru...
Rotors and Brakes are wear items and it all depends on the driving so there are not on a scheduled maintenance. You could have car a with 150K highway miles and the brakes and rotors could be still good. You could have the same car with 50K city miles and it would need new brakes. The only way to ch...
A boost sensor would be nice to the Greddy EMU but not really needed. Do you have the wideband wired into the EMU? I had both the AEM Wideband and the Boost Sensor Wired into the EMU and also had digital displays. Again they are not needed but with data logging on the EMU, it's nice to have all the ...
