LOL that's my stock intake for you! We pulled it out, discovered staples and some wierd heat resistant fabric (probably ceramic) on the inside! Then we took out the ol' sledgehammer.... And POOF! K+N SRI ladies and gentlemen!

I dont have a CAI. I have a K+N short ram (the problem is the spacer, really). I just cut down the filter exactly 1 inch, and its still just tight enough that it won't completely fit on the tubing, so tomorrow i'm going over to my buddies house and we're cutting down the tubing an extra half inch. I have one question. What is the difference between the 4-2-1 header and the 4-1 header? I ordered the 4-1 header and i want to know the difference between the two besides the number of parts.

Paid 305 after searching around on 4 to 5 of the websites that offered it. Most were around 375-450, so finding a correctly priced header was delightful, and i jumped on it. Apparently it bolts right on?

It's like a whirring, whining sound if i'm not mistaken. I know exactly what you mean, but it sounds like it's coming directly from the ECU. I'm probably wrong, but that's the general area from where the noise is originating.
