It's called an inner fender or fender liner. I don't know this particular clip, but I suggest you stop by a parts store and show them what you need. Remember you have the matching one on the other side. NAPA has a very good selection of fasteners.

Someone I know said tires have a limited safe life span. I heard four years. I bought a set of used tires fro my son's Hyundai Sonata. I did not check the production date imprinted on them. it's an oval with 4 digits showing week and year. I.e. 2508 = 25th week of 2008 or summer 2008. I just looked...

Chiming in here: All in-line 4 cylinders are prone to vibration. Engineering deals with it in a variety of ways. Engine mount bushings: Soft ones will reduce vibration at idle but will allow the engine to tilt at take off and sudden power demand etc. Hard ones will cause vibration at idle but handle...

Re: Is something broken under oil fill cap?

It's more likely that the hole was created gradually with the cam hitting the baffle. The metal shavings most likely went to the bottom of the oil pan or may have been caught by the oil filter. Since the engine seems to run fine there is likely no notable damage.

One more thing: With your VIN number ask a GM dealer to see if all the recalls have been taken care of. It has the infamous Takata air bags, and some PCMs were recalled too.

That's the total capacity. You fill the filter in order to get the proper pressure quicker. You could put the filet on empty . It would take a few seconds longer for the oil pressure light to go out. It won't matter to you because you are buying 5 qts. change the filter and add 4 qts, Then start the...

Tire Pressure Monitors were installed on all vehicles starting with the 2008 model year. Your car does not have them. My '05 has them. Turn the key to "on" without starting the engine. That makes the whole Christmas tree light up. That's the easiest way to see what's in your car. Also to t...

I totally agree with jolt on this.
And then: cold starts kill the mileage. You said you do short distances. If your car cools down between the starts you have the worst case scenario for fuel mileage. Keep your rpm as low as you safely can manage. I often commute without going over 2300 rpm.

But why only in cold weather? You would think that if something was wrong the check engine light would go off all the time. Most likely you have a vacuum leak. The intake manifold gasket is suspect. It gets drenched from oil that comes in through the crank case ventilation system and goes out of shape.
