Hello :D,yes the drain plug that you would buy from a parts store for a 2009 toyota matrix will be the same one you need for a 2009 pontiac vibe. Also the correct size gasket for the drain plug is an M12 size gasket. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=41248

That looks like it will fit but, I wouldnt bother. you've already got progress rear sway you should be good. There are a lot of other things you could do to improve hadling instead of going for that after market front sway bar. Ive just heard they wont do too much.

I was able to price a few alternators online for around $110 to $160. Knowing this I wouldnt let the dealer charge me more than say $200 for an alternator not including labor.

Hey, Ive found when driving on small steep slopes or going through entryways through sidewalks and such, you can do a maneuver where you kinda drive over it in a diagonal path so that only one wheel goes over the steep part at a time. Doing that usually prevents the car from bottoming out. Good luck...

rock auto.com or carquest if you want a store to walk into. that first site seemed a bit unusual because who's ever heard of a parts store that only sells hub assemblies? Wow that's pretty good gas milage. dang your probably getting better milage than my gas hog 2.4 when Im not even towing anything although I've never actually tried to calculate what kind of milage my car gets. Hey also noticed youv'e got some aftermarket wheels! nice they look good!

yeah my car does both. It torque steers a lot of when quickly accelerating but also when coming to a stop the steering wheel often flicks to one side. Ive heard the closer you can get to the ft-lbs you wanna use the better, so if your buying only for wheels perhaps a clicker type of 100 or 150 ft-lbs max would be best. either one a 3/8" or 1/2" drive should be equally useful.

I go to an independent tire shop for alignments. They're local and have a really good reputation in our area. Dang my car does this too. I think this started very early on when I got the car as well. maybe 15000 miles. I'd describe it as a pebble being shaken in a paper cup sound that can be heard driving on my parents bumpy gravel driveway at slow speeds.

well I have no idea but I bet sublimewind will be in here soon to help troubleshoot this. My guess would be to replace the brake fluid but I have no idea if that will fix the problem or if you've changed the brake fluid aleady during some point in the cars life.

TRDsparks is good. Ive bought a few things from them they always seem to ship it really fast. theres the one for 09 and up as far as I'm aware this is the only strut brace out for this car.

hey I was gonna suggest trying to rebuild the front calipers instead of buying new fronts but I dont know how difficult that would be or if you'd need any special tools. I bet the rebuild kit itself is pretty cheap though.

hey cant hurt to check the tire pressure also! always a good thing to do before long drives. I just use a little pressure gauge I got for $1.99. Maybe better to have one thats no so cheap but its better than nothin.

Hey Welcome to Genvibe! The silver vibe looks great.as far as performance mods I'm a fan of the TRD suspension parts for the 09 matrix. I've pretty much installed everything they have for that year. They're not too pricey if you only buy one part here and there, also helps if your a DIY'er!

yeah I would try to check which brand springs the corolla has and then look at some charts from that manufacturer to see if the part number matches the 03 vibe. I just checked the TRD springs and theres different p/n's for 03 corolla and matrix/vibe. That was just TRD though maybe theres other after...

Well personally I'd advise you to avoid getting a CAI. I feel they tend to be too risky when weighing the pluses verses downsides. I've heard a good maintenance thing to do is replacing the brake fluid every two years. Its supposed to flush out water and contaminants that build up over time. Different seasons with heating and cooling can get water into the system.

Anyways it was held on there with duct tape but that jsut wasnt doin the job so I had to attach it with black silicone sealer. ...
