Re: Roof Rack/cross bars for 2006 Vibe?

Those look to be identical with the Harbor Freight ones. Worked fine for ladder carrying. Caveat. You will spend quite a bit of time adjusting them so that they're not lopsided. If you're ready for adjusting both ends of each bar, then they'll be fine. You'll want a step stool so you aren't stretchi...

Re: Lots of questions, zero answers

The serpentine belt is always a good one. It can harden and spin/crack even without running, just from the tension. As long as the car is driven regularly enough to circulate fluid, the radiator hoses are probably fine at low miles. Check the donut spare. I had the one in my 03 fall apart by 2016, j...

Well, on my 03 vibe, I replaced the front shocks with Monroe QuickStruts. That, plus the sway bar links, took roughly an hour per side (not including jack/stand time). So, in other words, buy the shocks, bellows, and mount replacements, yank the old ones out of the car, take them to a shop, and say "here, assemble these for me". Understood.

I'm not really thrilled about the idea of using a spring compressor at _all_.

Alloy wheels and steel are the same size tire in this case.

Need to leave wheels on the old car, so I can get rid of it. hard to haul off a car on drums and rotor :)
