Dropped my "redneck" oil catch pan from under the Vibe GT the other day. Needs an oil change and will change out the CV halfshaft axles so it was in the way. Amazingly this thin pan that I fabricated did exactly what I designed it to do ........ catch the drops of oil that leak from the timing chain...

Interesting mounting arrangement :? Does other dash functions/features interfere with the screen protruding and covering things up? That doesn't look very secure and certainly invites theft :o Curious to see side profile pics. Glad it was a success for you and that it works as planned

2006 Vibe that just grenaded the c59 transmission. Bearing at shaft disintegrated and caused all sorts of gear chipping/debris. So the motor mounts act like a sponge and absorb water (when driving through rain/snow) and then slowly releases the moisture from shock/bumps over several miles to where it oozes out as shown in your pics? Never seen anything like that before :o

Just ordered Pass side CV halfshaft axle from RockAuto (Cardone 665230, lifetime warranty $70.39). A buddy of mine is getting me the drivers side who works at Advance. I'll post the results of this needed repair soon ;)

Regarding the shaking. Note the exact conditions. Mine was the CV axel. It would shake under engine load. You really felt it at speeds greater than 50mph. Pedal on, whole front end shook. That is very minor damage which is a good thing! Too bad you didn't take a bit of extra time to polish up the headlight housing while it was off the car :o I hit mine every three months or so (they go bad that quickly now that they're old!) with my DA polisher and takes only 5 minutes max!

Yeah I too need to (some day) work on my 2004 Vibe GT shifter assembly. Very sloppy/loose mechanism and especially when going from 2-3 which I rarely do anymore. I pretty much drive it as a four-speed. 1-3-5-6

OK, so I had access to the lift again. Fixed this vent line which runs from the fuel tank check valve, over to the charcoal canister.
